New one-off striped kit for the play-off final (4 Viewers)

This will probably be next seasons kit and they’ve had to bring it forward for next week, fans who’s got this seasons home kit should be offered a discount, they were bought for the season and this is the biggest game of said season!
If the rumours I've been hearing are true then I doubt it. Apparently were meant to be losing Allsopp as sponsor and no longer using Nike as a kit supplier.

Stinks of bullshit this, just a money making scheme by the club, very small time. How is it even possible that we've run out of kits/Nike can't make us another set of this years?
Running out of kits is very possible. We, like all but a select few top teams, use the teamwear kits. They change every season. Nike won't be producing 17/18 kits now, and even if they were wouldn't turn around a new batch in a week.

These Wembley shirts are from this seasons teamwear catalogue and presumably ones that Just Sports have left over. So they only need to whack the club badge and sponsor logos on and we've got shirts to sell for Wembley.

Would be stupid of the club to not try and maximise revenue from a Wembley final. I'd rather wear a different shirt at Wembley than sell someone in the summer to balance the books.

Think this one is a basic template, the other one was more complex.

Could it not also be if the last one was a temple Nike would have stoped supplying them anyway for the new template kits.

I assume the team kit is warn x amount of times and then replaced. So I guess as the club shop is sold out no team kit left

They've added clarification about the current home kit stock

Further Information:

The shirts for this season were ordered in February 2017, as is the case at many clubs ordering in bulk. Due to the incredible popularity of the home shirt this season, and use of club stock through playing requirements and charitable donations, it has been necessary to commission this new traditional striped shirt for the Play-Off final – which we hope will prove popular with supporters.

We were unable to order the current 2017/18 home shirt due to the large minimum order numbers which exist, and the lead times involved.

Nike contact was for 4 seasons, this is the 3rd.
Nike contract wasn't a nike contract. It was a contract with just sport pro. Which means we could have Nike or Avec.
Happened to Palace a few years back, they had Nike for 3 or 4 seasons then had an avec kit.

If you like the kit buy it. Maybe the revenue will go into the kitty for next season to help Robins.
Whatever division we are in!

I’d much rather wear official merchandise too, rather than what the tatt stall block will be putting together (apologies to anyone who might like the unofficial stuff we will soon be seeing :))

Optimistically, I guess our home kit is a custom shade of the Nike template...but i can see why people see it as cashing in and I tend to agree. It’s a nice shirt, and if we win would be a nice memento.

My concern is, are the players going to gel in this kit? Surely playing in a new colour after months of playing in a different strip is slightly risky for a game like this? Maybe its not a big deal to in the professional game, I don’t know.

It does look nice though - reminds me of a few years back when we bust out the vintage sky blue kit early before wearing it for the following Thorn disaster season.

I’m guessing our 18/19 kit will be of similar design to the shirt itself; the Nike model seems to have this design / neck (just need to look at the England one to see that).

Hopefully it won’t be stripes like this though and the boxed back; I’m not a fan of that design (but will still buy it even if it looks awful :))

Love the stripes, don't like the unfinished, ran out of time and ink, back.

Just had journo from Daily Mail asking me for a comment about this none story - apparently "if you like it and want one buy one, if you don't want one, don't" wasn't the reply he was looking for. Seems someone is trying to take focus away from the real issue which is winning and promotion. If it generates more funds for Robins the good. Still we all like a moan about something - just waiting for the Welsh Supporters Club to start kicking up a fuss over not getting an allocation or something equally pointless
