Thought I'd share this. An elderly couple I know on my round are incredible, both in their eighties. She plays Bowls and does all the decorating in their home, and he loves his computer, and gardening.
They travel abroad often, and she loves the Sky Blues, and was a season ticket holder for decades. Plus I read in the paper about Sheila Hancock the actress who has a new film out called Edie. She's 85 but the movie is about a woman who decides to climb a Scottish mountain,so to get in character she decided to get fit and strong. So she worked out for 3 months with an ex RAF officer, weight training and outdoor exercises etc. How inspirational are these "oldies" ?

It's a lot more common then you think, the gym is heaving between 8-12 with oap's. Fair play to them, I hope I'm still as fit and active at their age.

Strangely enough, two of the actresses mentioned above, both live on the Isle of Wight. Sheila Hancock was actually born here and the lovely Celia Imrie now lives in Cowes. Must be something to do with the water down here! Many a nice looking "old 'un" down here!

When my mother was 80, she flew alone from the UK to the USA to visit me. She lugged a heavy suitcase with her there and back.

Was in a car park in France a few days ago. There was a woman standing in my direction wearing a tight see through white blouse and nothing else. These very pert breasts were within two feet of my face but couldn't see much more through my car window. Lets just say I enjoyed the moment.

But when she got in the car I could see that she was at least 70. Breast job but no face job. Didn't know whether to laugh or be sick :wideyed:

I cleaned the elderly couples windows today. He's unwell as he had a heart attack recently so he's laid up and resting. But Sadie who's eighty was all excited telling me that her grandkids treated her to a Wembley ticket last week for the play off final. She went with them on the coach, it was her first game for a couple of years. She said she cried at the end. They treated her to a meal and spoilt her all day, she proudly showed me the programme. She's a great person and full of life.
