Let’s splash out on Carl Baker!
He’s a v good player isn’t he. Remember the vid of him playing at various age groups at city, you could tell then that he could be special
Ps lovin the jenkinson step overs !!!
We could use the Maddison money to buy some land and build a new, top grade academy,
That would allow us to recruit the top talent outside the premier league, and feed the first team for years to come. We already have a good reputation for developing youngsters, so why not build on that.
Thanks for the info. Very useful.Theres much than that to a category 1 academy. You need links and partnerships with schools, sport science, much more full time staff etc. It’s all very cliquey and set up for the elite
Category 2 is fine - there is not much difference between operating at category 1 and category 2 apart from opponents and recruitment. We would have still lost the young lad who went to Man United even if we were category 1
I hope we keep Bayliss but for him and Norwich if they do cash in on Madders I wouldn't back against it as it would be a good move for both him and them.We should sell Bayliss to Norwich. I hear they’re in the market for an attacking midfielder. £22 million should cover it...

Those costs need recovering though regardless and potential suitors know that we have to sell, so if this means that we can dictate the price of eg Bayliss and not the usual fire sale we can strike a better deal. Dele Alli went from L1 for £8m if e can get to January we could be talking similar but currently more like £2m. In the Championship we could get significantly more as proven with Madders so hopefully might give us more of a bargaining chip and whatever we think of our owners they are smart business people.Great news for us obviously if he does get sold - but - we need to get real about thinking we can spend the money we receive on transfers. Any money we get will go towards covering costs and operating losses, which means SISU essentially won't have to put their hands in their pockets to keep the club going. The playing budget won't change regardless of whether Maddison is sold or not.

Why isn't he in England's WC squad? He's exactly what we need.
Produced just in time for the January transfer window iirc. Now this one. Hmmm
Talk of Grealish going from Villa for 40m, I don't see a great deal of difference between the two players, I certainly wouldn't say that Grealish is twice as good as Maddison.

It's already been a month since the injury, so he will be back for pre-season training. Should not delay matters when it comes to transfer imho.Is he really like to move without a medical and before he's back playing again? Might be very late in the window before Robins gets some cash in hand from this one.
