Anyone else just happy that the rumours are now Everton and not Leicester!!!
Not sure I am - the other half is an Everton fan, so I will have to put up "Remember that Madders you used to go on and on about...well now even he would rather walk alone"

Maddison's new business could aid Leicester City's transfer hopes

The local Leicester paper still reckons they are fav to sign him.

Using that theory he could be coming to Coventry.

I took the link out so we are not contributing to click-bait shit, but basically the story says he has a coaching business in Coventry. (Harry Shaw, maybe?)

Josh Murphy from Norwich to Cardiff for £10m pending medical. Will this have any affect on the Maddison move?

Wouldn’t have thought so. However, optimistically, I reckon if Grealish goes for £40mil Norwich will be asking for more for maddison

Puzzling if Norwich don't push for more if Grealish goes for anything between 30-40 million. Maddison has been talked about less than Grealish over the years so his stock is lower in that regard but his stats speak for themself. I think he's a lot better

Grealish has certainly had more publicity about his nationality and that’s pushed up his stock but I think Maddison is an equal if not better player

Can't see anyone paying £40m for Grealish
He's got a bit of baggage which most boards would take into account when sanctioning a huge amount like that
I'd guess he'll go for less than half that as a downpayment with lots of extras that could reach what Villa want if Grealish hits the targets such as number of appearances on a sliding scale, England appearances on same basis and lump sums for winning trophies

£40 million for Grealish FFS the football worlds gone mad...considering back in 'the day' we got Keane for £6 million and I thought that was a lot from a player I hadn't even heard of but he was great still crazy money though

Keane was already an established international by that point as well!

Compared to the British transfer record (British club buying), in August 99 it was £15m that Newcastle paid for Shearer, so 2.5 times what we paid for Keane

Current British transfer record is £89m United paid for Pogba, 2.25 times approx. what Grealish is going for

That's good, he is better than his brother. Be interesting to see if he gets more game time than him this year.
Hard to see how you would say he is better than his brother. I doubt very much that you have seen Josh play live for any extended period. Norwich not being in the PL means he is not on national TV too much. The fact that Jacob went to a bigger club (Newcastle as opposed to Cardiff), bought by a better manager(Benitez as opposed to Warnock), moved a year earlier than his twin and for more money (even though it was a year ago) would tend to suggest you are wrong. Could it be that you are still holding on the prejudices you had against Murphy when he played for us? I have to say I liked Jacob Murphy playing for us. His speed and skill ripped defences apart. I think he is the best I have seen for us in finishing one on one situations with the goalkeeper. I liked Armstrong and Kent too but it is Murphy who has made the greater progress.
Anyway the Daily Mirror say that the sale of Murphy will not halt the sale of Maddison so that’s alright then.

Josh is more consistent and works harder. Skill wise maybe not quite as good, but he is still fast and his finishing is also decent. I've seen him play a few times and a couple of my mates who support Norwich also rate him higher. He will go further than Jacob in his career in my opinion, as I believe his attitude being better will make the difference.

Armstrong went to the wrong clubs but might have turned it around now. Played for the England under 21s in Toulan just now and was really good. Kent was never very good in my opinion. Literally zero end product.

I don't like Jacob, but as you love him I guess we are both as biased as each other :D

It will be interesting to see who has the better career. I don’t think I have ever seen Josh (I was at the 6-1 hammering two seasons back but can’t remember if he played). He may turn out to be the better of the two. It is just that you are quick to say he is better when the objective evidence would disagree.

from a good’ish source, heading to Everton for 22 million plus add ons, also says our cut
Is 25% of anything over 8 million, Norwich are signing Jordan Rhodes from Sheffield weds,

Is he?? Been told by a reputable source at our end he’s coming to us. Wants to be nearer home and has a business venture with Conor Thomas too

As already stated, reliable source tells me any bid by Everton will be outbid by us. He wants to join Leicester too as closer to home
Won't be surprised if that happens
Apparently it all depends on whether Mehrez goes to City for silly money
Then you will be able to outbid Everton for sure and Daniel Levy will never pay over the odds at Spurs

I think you are clutching at straws - apparently at least 3 of the big 6 are interested and if any of those do bid he will go to them.

It makes sense for him to join his boot room buddy George Thomas, however a Blues fan at work believes Thomas will join them on a season long loan

Is it a dodgy loan business?

£15million bid from Tottenham for Grealish. Hopefully Norwich remain firm and stick with £20mil plus
