Australia will be delighted at this so far. I imagine there'll be a few words said at half time in the French dressing room. Very scruffy.

I've got this on one screen and the cricket on the other. Rooting for the Aussies in the football, hoping they get dicked on in the cricket
I am watching the football and have the cricket on record, so would appreciate you keeping any Aussie cricket stuff on the cricket thread, thanks. Ha! ;)

He got a touch on the ball. Either way it wasn’t ‘clear and obvious’ which is what it needs to be to overturn the decision on the pitch.

Wasn't a pen, defender touched the ball first. If that's a pen you might as well just ban tackling and make it a non contact sport.

VAR is a shambles, right decision on the pitch then changes it. And why are there 4 refs in the VAR room when they've said the decision will be made by the match ref?

I’ve got the Aus v Ireland rugby on my main tv, cricket on the iPad and football on the phone!

VAR fails again. Greizman goes down after losing the ball.

I actually can't make my mind up. Looked a great tackle at first, on replays looked a foul. Tough. Now Australia have a pen for handball!

No idea what the French player was thinking there. What an idiot. Still, if it wasn't a pen the other end, then justice has been served.

I always thought you had to win the ball (disposses or win control) of which he did neither.

Both were pens. France look average.
