Maddison is a class act, I said he'd played for England the first time I saw him, and he just keeps getting better. Fantastic signing for 25mill. Far better then Grealish.

Assuming we get 5mill from the deal, I'd be chuffed to get 1mill to spend on players.

Did anyone hear the sell on % was more than the usual 10-15. In fact it was more like 25%, hence the initial paltry fee and the fact that it was hailed as a fantastic longer term deal for the club.

We'll receive the money in stages over several seasons I would imagine, it won't be one lump sum. There is no evidence money is being taken out, so would imagine it will stay within the club. How much Robins receives for player budget and how much is used to cover costs remains to be seen.

Either way, the money is very welcome. The equivalent to about 15,000 season tickets, so it is very significant.

So naive. Sisu are just letting the club run itself and aren’t investing out of their own back pockets. It’s the same as it’s always been, except from the fact that better people are now running the club ie Boddy rather than Fisher.

What ever the total transfer fee adds up to for saints or the foxes, we get whatever percentage of that up front. Simple as that. No installments etc. It's up to Norwich to pay that amount to us.

I'm not sure how it works with sell on fees, assumed it would be staged in line with with the transfer fee, otherwise Norwich might have to pay their entire first installment to us. Like I say, I don't pretend to know exactly how these deals work.

I assumed we get a % as and when he triggers things from his move to each club, so if Norwich get 100k for 10 appearances, we get a % of that 100k. If he gets a bigger move again, and Norwich have a sell on clause, lets say he goes for 50 mill up front fee (from Leicester to Man united), and Norwich have a 10% sell on clause, they get 5 mill, but then they'll owe us our % from that 5 million.

We will get 10% of the initial fee up front I believe.

Didn't the accounts show 2-2.5million (can't remember the exact amount) in admin charges last year? That's money out of the club.

Sounds like sound economic sense .. and while sisu may not be willing to sell now it makes us a much more attractive purchase in the future

That is fact.
I haven't seen the Maddison contract but would be very unusual if any different.

think Saints is a decent move for him. basically a decent club which tends to play its young players.
add-ons etc. normally tend to be related to the first deal (ie. with Norwich) rather than rolling forward to the next buying club unless specifically stated.
sell on %s relate to total value of fee registered with FA not how it is received.
can't remember which player it was we took a lump sum on (cashflow reasons) which backfired when he was sold on for big money.

The losses don’t just happen, Sisu have been here 9 years now, it’s entirely their show from wage bill to rental of the stadium. If we are still losing money hand over fist after all that then it’s because they’re fucking shocking at their job.

Like you I haven't seen this contract but Chris Anderson said at the time it included lots of add ons that would pay out over the years
Normally these would be PL appearances, England caps and so on
As these haven't happened yet they would normally carry forward
The % of the sell on fee is straight forward although there may be a clause covering whether we would get our full % from the first installment if the deal from Norwich was done that way
Most are but if Norwich are desperate for cash and there are a number of clubs interested the club prepared to pay most up front would be a big factor

At many points last season it seemed we won't make the autos, then the play-offs and might end up outside the promotion pack. Luckily we managed to pull a run together at the end of the season to get there. My assessment will always change during a season.

Robins will not get a penny from Sisu. The club is being run on a self-sufficient basis.

As for assessments...the fact you still don't rate Biamou is hilarious. If Biamou didn't put the shift and goals he got in the later half of the season we wouldn't have made it. He complemented MM fantastically.
