No judgement today but not back in court tomorrow? Does that mean the judges don't think its an open and shut case and want to dig deeper in to the documents provided?
Or more likely, putting together the words in such a way that Sisu can’t appeal on it and stops this farce once and for all.

Sounds that one of the judges thinks it needs looking at.

I for one would like to know why they essentially give the Ricoh away and not got full value.... that’ and watching Wasps collapse. You’ve got a coventry rugby season ticket haven’t you? You can still get your rugby fix

2nd half was only 25 mins long.

you have to wonder why they didn't just postpone lunch for a little bit.

Unless lunch it was a Greggs sausage roll, as you have to eat them hot, nowhere near as nice when cooled down.

Maybe the judges wanted to talk about it over their Big Macs and Jaiger bombs?

Only if ACL as a company agree to it. CCC were only 50% of it. ACL would still own the lease but this time with 250 years to go and a far greater value. It would be ACL putting the lease on the market either the original one or the long one it had acquired. Could actually have made it unsaleable to Wasps or SISU. The time for a longer lease was at the start in 2007, we might never have got in this mess

ACL in 2014 had been forced pretty close to the wall, it would not have been an easy finance of the lease extension because ACL were running out of cash. Could CCC have lent ACL the money?..... I think we might well have had JR3 if they had, especially if it increased the value to acquire the site (completely opposite of what SISU were trying to achieve allegedly). But according to SISU the lease for 250 years was worth 47m where was ACL going to get even half that ? Even the short lease had a market value of £18m . ACL would have had to be seen to pay for it because of state aid and the scrutiny it was already under

SISU admitted yesterday they were around but not really interested

Agreed on that, I have said time and time again that the setup of ACL and its 50 year lease + YB loan is the problem and subsequent events are pretty much all traced back to it. That all falls at the feet of those on the council who made the decisions.

Too much claret in the recess. Check for red noses.

There is a third aspect to this from CCC's view point. That being the development of business around the Ricoh and an expectation that the owners of the stadium would be in a better position than CCC to develop new business, which would increase business rates payable to the council.

That'll be the new training ground Wasps were building on site I assume

Really fucked off to hear how Cov City are battling the council in court.......they're not it's the London hedge fund SISU !

actually Otium Entertainment limited which is the legal entity of the trading name CCFC (ie the Club) is named on the court documents...... so they are indeed part of the action being taken

I like how they say the collapse of wasps will affect the wider community.... how does it affect Coventry? Good riddance I’d say
Are you saying that an empty stadium and CCFC in Northampton is better for the people of Coventry than having Wasps and CCFC here?

Unless football fans spend far more per head than rugby fans or there are other factors I’m missing then it must?

I’d bet wasps fans tend to travel from further away as well so more likely to buy lunch, stay over at a hotel etc.

Isn't that money to Wasps / Caterers than to the city?

It’s not loaded though.
Just before Wasps came that was the situation.
I’m comparing now to then.
Straight forward question.

His point was aimed at if Wasps went now wasn't it?

Compare that to if Wasps went tits up now or if CCFC had to move again.

I’ve read this and it says exactly the same as the link I posted - namely you should renegotiate in the last 18 months of tenancy a new lease and if the tenant lease has no security of tenure he has no rights at all!
Not at all. The longer the lease left the better.

If you have a leasehold property with less than 50 years lease left you will find it hard for anyone to get a mortgage on it. Are you saying that you should wait until there is 18 months left on it before extending the lease and the lease nearly valueless?

It’s both but if we just consider the money to wasps (or any other tenant) and the caterers then there’s no difference to losing either wasps or the club as neither is brining money to the city. (Sentimentality aside, obviously I don’t want to see the club leave again).

In reality, even with most money going to the caterers and tenant some fans are spending money in the city, lunch, fuel, hotels etc.

Nope.
He asked solely about Wasps and the effect of them leaving.
Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture.

Ah the old bigger picture nonsense.

Yes, as in them leaving now... Thats why i said compare it to if CCFC left.
