Second best by far tonight, not sure if we look arsed but I just cannot see any team going lose?

I think it shows the lack of quality in the squad, no cutting edge all night. No creativity in the midfield and no energy down the wings

Agree. A good performance and a narrow defeat...everyone positive.
A good performance and exciting win or even draw all positive.
A nothing performance and narrow defeat...the fans and media pick out all the negatives.

Only Rose of the players coming in tonight will give Southgate something to think about. And if stones injured clearly Cahill.

Some of our final balls have been truly dreadful.

Very, very disappointing and we can't just assume we will beat Colombia.

Japan is clearly the easier of the two fixtures on paper.

Geez!!!! Welbeck.

Rose and at times Loftus-Cheek have done well.

As for Eric Dier, he is simply not coming forwards. At one point there was acres of space and I think it was Delph who played him a very simple ball into that space and Dier never even attempted to go for it at first.

Poor.

A very dangerous team at times, Colombia.

We shouldn't have been looking at the path AFTER the Colombia match.

Yes a dangerous team but for a lot of today’s game they were second best to Senegal. They like us look to have weaknesses at the back. Will be close but I think Kane, lingers and sterling will create enough chances. Can we keep cutrado and falcao quiet?

Imagine paying thousands to go to watch this game.

My mate from work flew out on Wednesday for this game and flys back home tomorrow, he does have a guaranteed ticket for the final if England get there though

For me we should not have been looking at the path AFTER the Colombia match. Very dangerous thing to do.

Going to look like right old mugs if we now lose to Colombia.

This better pay off for us, because we were second best for long periods tonight.

All of that group are dire. If we can’t beat them then we aren’t good enough. Any team would bite your arm off for the passage we have to the semis.

Yes of course it could go wrong at the next hurdle but given the straight choice between beating
Columbia and Switzerland/Sweden
or Japan and Brazil/Mexico
to reach a WC semi final I know what I'd choose.

Hopefully Solanke progresses or someone else comes through in the next 4 years because Welbeck and Vardy are nowhere near this level.

I don't know what was worse, Dier's performance or Clive Tydlesley commentary, he truly is an awful commentator with his comment in the first half about best memories always come from world cups the most inane one
