But how are we going to get a shock result away if we don't score?

SEVEN goals in SEVENTEEN away games.

That wouldn't be a shock, that would be Hitler coming back to life and backscuttling Mother Teresa.

That makes everything better then, has anybody told Thorn yet you don't get points for passing it around the defence??

I think your onto something here! I'll get on the phone to the Swansea director, they could be top of the premierleague if they didn't pass it around there defence so often!

tbh you piss me off with this sort of thread after every away defeat, we all know we are shit away from home. Forgive us for hoping though we may win away again one day.

:facepalm:We all hope we are going to win away one day.

Be selective in your thread comments too if you so wish. I also created another thread saying we could gain ground on other teams on Tuesday.

That positive enough for you? Or did you just cherry pick which threads you wish to have a moan about.

Two threads, created close together, by my good self, one talking about us not winning away, the other saying we could gain ground on the other teams on Tuesday even with just a draw!!!

Now your thread about you being pissed off about my thread has pissed me off!!!

It's a completely different ball game when you have players who are able to do it.

Exactly, I didn't even know he wasn't there.

He's the big unit on the sidelines normally, you can't miss him. But this is my point. You found out early on that he had been hospitalised a couple of days ago and he was not at the game. Every post since you have had a pop at him. We get it. You want rid. But, even that is not the point... the point is that you seem determined to belittle the opinions of everyone who is not having a pop at him (saying that some mockingly think SISU is to blame for everything, i.e. Thorn can do no wrong). Both sides do this and it is complete bollocks. There are blindingly obvious shades of grey, there are a combination of factors involved. No one thinks Thorn takes no responsibility whatsoever. I doubt anyone thinks it is 100% his fault, hand on heart. So we need to stop these bullshit 'either, or, pro, anti, I know stuff, you don't' type comments that surface all the time.

PS - no pop at you intended, just general frustration at losing and this circular Thorn (no pun intended) argument has grown to do my head in.

Must be SISU's fault that we had a player who has missed a couple of penalties take a penalty when we had a player who scored 2 in a game a couple of weeks ago stood there.

Who said it was sisu's fault we missed that pen ?

That's what a shock result is though, surely? Or am I completely missing the point here? My definition of a shock in this instance would be something tht's very unlikely to happen that does happen. Or is that wrong?

I'm not offended nor have been, If you have been then sorry. I was watching the game on a stream so i'm sure you can forgive that I wasn't aware he wasn't there, I haven't tried to belittle anyone, Some people do seem to blame Sisu, and i was having a little dig, but nothing more then just trying to have a bit of friendly banter.

It's laughable.
People think by just turning up u might eventually win a game.
Oh dear.

Don't you attend home games? Just asking as we seem to win a few those.

We haven't won any game form coming from behind.

Perhaps that's why our home form is so good, visiting teams set up negatively so we don't concede early and have to chase the game, and can get on the front foot. Whereas away from home we're put under the cosh and concede first and then there's no way back because of the lack of quality.

Of course not, as I say these Thorn discussions can get a bit much on here. I know you didn't belittle anyone, just me generally sounding off.

The only penny that has not dropped is that Harrison and Thorn are in charge of a team that can win at home but fail to turn up at away games?

If you can win at home with our team then why are we so piss poor on our travels? That will get us relegated. That is clearly a fault with the coaching and manager. You can't blame that on SISU.

I've been consistent with my comments on Harrison and Thorn all season. Both should have gone months ago.

Well, you can blame it on SISU. If you think the squad depth is alright and everything is down to the two of them and no one else, then SISU are the only ones who can make that change. They should have gone months ago? SISU's error, football managers rarely walk these days. Write SISU a strongly worded letter, let us know what response you get.

To be fair we have been fortunate with some of our recent wins at home, Barnsley the most negative team I think I've every seen at the Ricoh, the Leeds performance was one of the worst, kilkenny aside Bristol were awful and their fans jeered off Maynard because of his disinterested performance, we played 70 mins against 10 men v middlesboro, etc. in fact the only team to truly come to the Ricoh in the last few months and put up some kind of fight was Ipswich who beat us.

So why do you make threads mocking the fans, with a I am right again attitude, who were hoping that today would be the day we win away.

I was hoping today would be the day we got an away win.

Don't see your point.

I have consistently said that unless we win away we will go down. My comments have always been aimed at the fans who say we will stay up. Lose every away game and I am more than convinced we will be relegated.

People have said we will win an away game. Even Thorn has said it. Just confuses me as to why people believe that when we have only scored 7 away goals all season.

Maybe there opinion that we will stay up is based on the hope that we can finally win away?

I don't see the point of this thread, the only point I see of this thread is to try to make all the people who thought we could win away today to feel stupid.

nN, don't say that, you will have people jump down your throat for belittling our own efforts and suggesting the other teams were poor.

I happen to agree with you mind

Well then you are an idiot.

I even put a smiley face, but if you don't get it you don't get it.

I have never, ever in my entire life tried to make anyone out to be stupid. Let's not let facts get in the way of OTT conclusion jumping though.

Clingan shouldn't play again this season-the guy is 'disinterested' personified. We were on the ropes for the first 20 mins, but other than that we looked comfortable. Problem lies with players losing it in the final third and in front of goal-our best play generally comes through Nimeley who seems to form a one man attack by himself.

Don't think I am an idiot tbh. Don't think it is OTT you make the same thread each week which is boring and predictable.
Nobody expected us to win today but you have to go in believing you can.

All this thread is, is telling the people who thought we would win/draw (which no doubt was said in hope rather than expectation) that they were silly/wrong/stupid and you were right again.

No doubt if we get relegated you will make a similar thread.

Every week? I have done it twice.

The idiot thing was a joke too, but i didn't put a smiley face because you just seem to ignore them.

For the last time we ALL hope we will win away. Hoping and believing is NOT the same thing.

I wasn't trying to prove anything. Just wondering at which point in time some people will change their minds?

Being comfortable will win games if we combined it with end product rather than lofting it over the goal or into the keeper's arms. Pretty much agreeing with you Otis :p

From what i saw today there was a lot of long balls up to Platt and Nimely.

Think the best chance to score invariably comes from crosses. Our crosses have not been good enough though.

it will come at St mary's with southampton comfortably in the playoffs ,resting many players ,thus delaying their promotion party, and if pompey still exist nailing their coffin.

Otis

Think if Southampton are in the play-offs but not in with any chance of the top two they will indeed rest players.

That would then give Sunderland fans every opportunity to once again label us cheats won't it.
