It is hard to argue with most of the stuff they have said regarding the game.

Especially how it looked like we were happy with the 1-0 result because of how much we sat back!

Those ignorant people clearly do not appreciate AT's brand of entertaining football. I guess its an acquired taste.

Just a footnote on Baker. I've seen this guy be terrific on occasion and look easily good enough for the Championship. So why is he so poor at the moment when given the chance to perform? people are forming opinions of players they see under performing for the most part. That's the point really and brings me back to why we are not doing it home and away. Coaching and the manager. The ability to coach and manage a player who can perform but isn't.

We are not the strongest squad. lets all agree there but lets not keep beating it to death. fact is we are good enough with better coaching/management to have these players do better consistently. I'm sorry but we are where we are because of the coaching/management skills we have currently in spite of the players.

Thorns had plenty of opportunity. Harrison looking at how he set up at Leicester is woefully hopeless. We will be very fortunate to stay up with these two managing team affairs. Hell we might be reliant on Pompey ceasing to exist and only two going down to save our bacon!

Further footnote: Cranie is poor. Seen him make too many errors and would much prefer a no nonsense man like Wood or Cameron in there.

Just how many times has Baker played well? Hand on heart? Maybe 5 times?

He has played 73 times for us.

He's very rarely played well for us. At 27 if the best his career offered was stockport what do we expect? I me er expected much and I have seen exactly what I expected. A very poor player at this level.

How old was Rickie Lambert before he played in the championship ?

29 which I assume is why you asked. He opted for southampton though in league 1 turning down the chance to play at championship level and cost over £1 million. A fair response but he's hardly Carl baker is he?

Boring. Just boring. He can only do so much with the quality of players the club permits we fund.

And we sat back as we'd not have marked this down as a game we expected to win and wouldn't have wanted to throw away the goal difference advantage we hold over Bristol City chasing a game we never had the quality to win.

Yawn....

So why can the players win at home?

I don't really know. But I'd guess they're low on confidence when playing away, especially the youngsters upon whom we rely more than any other team in this league. This coupled by the lack of senior pros on the pitch, and the few we have, such as Clingon and Eastwood being either unwilling or unable to contribute

I want to go back to college to learn all about black holes.

Think I will start with Halle Berry's.

What a fine berry to be sampling, kind Sir. Talking of berries, as we tenuously are, did you know that the common tomato is clarified as a berry? Not a very exciting one though, which I believe is Andy Thorn's fault entirely

Your about right there - he looked good when he first came when he made 15-20 minute cameo's and i think he'd had 2 really good games - Derby at home this season and Palace at home in the cup last season.
