You said you want to beat the best so stoke were the best in that round? Really?
Twisting again.

That is you misreading what I said.

You want to beat the best (one sentence)

I then said it was sweeter that in the FA Cup we beat Man U and then I deliberately mentioned the next games as being 'away.' That was what I was alluding to, that they were away, so we didn't just have it easy.

We were favourites against Stoke, but I do not remember us being favourites against Sheffield Weds at their place, even though we beat them the week before at home.

Wasn't trying to suggest these teams were the best. Was just saying it wasn't an easy route to the final, three away games in a row.

You are misreading what I was trying to say. Maybe I should have been clearer, but that is the very reason I mentioned the games as being away games and not just saying we beat Stoke and Shree Weds. We beat them away. Tougher.

Russians would have a chance against Denmark. Can't believe Croatia could play as badly again?

I had a tenner@16/1 on us to win it on skybet(money back if we don't) we are now 11/2.
And a tenner on Kane to win the golden boot@20/1 he is 5/4 now.
Won £33 something on us Getting promotion this season. Withdrew the £30 And stuck the £3 something on England to win the world cup at 18-1..... beginning to wish I'd lumped the lot on.... on the strength of the Spain result alone my cashouts nearly doubled.

A load of people will have lost a lot of (real) money on today's two results. Bookies laughing.

Indeed.

With the bookies Spain must have looked odds on certainties for the victory and Croatia really should be beating Denmark.

Japan to now beat Belgium and Mexico to beat Brazil?

Russia v Denmark final. ;)

Yep. Double jeopardy rule. Sending off before that rule change came in. Psychological advantage to Denmark. Which side will Modric go this time. I say other side (or a blast down middle!)

“The previous 'triple-punishment' rule required a red card - and therefore a suspension - as well as the award of a penalty under those circumstances.

However, players committing accidental fouls that deny a goalscoring chance will now be cautioned instead.

But deliberate fouls will still incur a red card.”

So ref thinks it was a legitimate attempt to get the ball, only a yellow.

Rule needs changing back, he's stopped a certain goal. The professional foul is alive and well in 2018. He will probably score the winning pen now

Not as scared of the Croatians after watching that. Croatian keeper for that last save. He was jumping around all over the place. Thought refs were supposed to pull them up on that.

As there have been two penalty shootouts today, just wondering if you all think we have got what it takes to win a shootout on Tuesday?

Who would be most likely to score for us and who would have you worried?

Confident -

Kane
Henderson
Rashford
Vardy

Not so sure -

Alli
Lingard
Welbeck
Walker
Tripper
Rose

Worried about -

Sterling
Delph
Young

Anyone know how many of the squad are the designated penalty takers for their clubs?

Kane and Vardy? Is that it?
