Very surprised at this news, i thought he was barely adequate at best in league 2. I’d be amazed if he’s good enough for league 1, But I guess a full pre season along with some 1 on 1 coaching, some new glasses and a rocket up his arse might just do the trick.

Seems strange for me and kelly also, if we are seriously looking to progress out of this league neither are good enough for championship football and we don’t really know how good they will Be in league one.. would have been 2 years maximum for me to be honest
If we get into the Championship with these players (and needed to upgrade) then a L1 club would want them as they will have clearly cut the mustard in that division. Max always works his nuts off (and a lot of players don't) and improved shed loads last season.i for one am happy, as it also allows people to feel settled and concentrated on playing (rather than eyeing their next move).

Perhaps we should just trust the manager knows what he is doing, after all he did keep telling us that McNulty would come good. Just saying like

He also extended Beavons contract - just saying like

You think it should have been four years?

The last time a four year contract was signed the people on here were saying how the club were showing ambition

Ponticelli wasn't it?

Was it? That’s not who I referred to - to be honest young players is a bit different

I really don’t see the point in long term deals at all for first team players

So much of a strikers game is confidence and you could see Max growing into the role throughout last season. It's always a gamble but I think Max might just be very important to us this season

I can see how you'd get a rocket up his arse, but glasses?

A bit surprised at 3 years but was expecting 2. It depends on the detail and the wage of course. It might still be as cheap as chips?
