Where Would You Like To Live ? (2 Viewers)

With Houch moving to Malvern near to the hills,it got me thinking where I'd like to live given the opportunity ? Lots of places I've visited come to mind, but if I had just the one choice it would be Aberdaron in North Wales. It's a seaside place but small and peaceful, with some great places to walk. When I was last there some cottages were up for sale right by the beach, so if I ever come into money that would be ideal. So given one place where would it be ?

Where I am now.

I am right near the beach. It is about 13 miles long. We don't get holiday makers visiting as they go to the lakes when they come this way. I rarely lock my cars or the house as it is very safe here. I don't worry about the kids when they go out. We have a warmer climate......although it can get very windy at times. And when you drive off our island you have everything you need.

I have lived all over the UK. I miss not living near family. And it makes it a bit difficult for the football. But I see it as a small price to pay. And the wife wouldn't want to live anywhere else either.

I love Coventry. It's my home, my family are here, my team are here and I deeply care about its rich history, but on my travels I always cast an eye out on places I would be very happy to live and make my home.

I have a list and add on places as I encounter them.

1. Bath

4. Liverpool
5. St Ives
6. Bedford (right by the river. Lovely there)
7. London

Think that's about it and they're not in any particular order, just as they came to mind.

Llandudno or maybe Conwy. North Wales is such a beautiful area. Maybe Aberaeron or Aberystwyth, West Wales is also fantastic.

Don't think I could ever live in Wales. Had a couple of incidents of anti-English sentiment.

Think it would always be England for me if I ever moved.

Malvern or the Cotswolds if staying in the UK. Costa Blanca if moving overseas. It has its own microclimate that’s very dry so good if you have aches and pains with joints, which I do. Planning on retiring there and maybe semi retiring there before retirement age finances dependent.

We discussed going to Australia a few years ago, my mum and dad were all set to emigrate in 1979. But my dads mum took ill and was hospital bound for the last 2 years of her life and the opportunity went, my dad still regrets it to this day
But mum and dad made a great life for themselves, my wife wouldn’t go as she pretty much has to look after her mum and dad and gets very little support from her siblings

Just spend a bit of time there and I love all the theatre and concerts, museums and events at your fingertips.

Would choose my area wisely though.

You would be OK if you had nearly a million for a 1 bed flat in a decent area then :wideyed:

Tried living in London. It is the least friendly place I have ever been. Makes Coventry look posh.

It is good until you get bad weather. Then you want to be inland a bit.

Didn't find that at all in NYC. Everyone was super friendly and happy to talk. Paris however, not that's a rude city.

Not sure where Id like to live. But no where bigger than Coventry I think. I like the size of the place. maybe Amsterdam.

Western Sicily with a piece of land to keep some animals and grow fruit and vegetables.

Failing that, somewhere in the Canaries away from the tourists and expat bars.

Ah right got ya.....Just i had a picture of a new breed of rats with wings !!.....Always had a 'thing' about rats since i read the James Herbert book when i was about 11. Least i'll sleep better tonight now !

Staying South but travelling all over each day. Don't want to be too far away from Glasgow as that is where my grandson is. Will borrow him as much as they will let me. But you are certainly right about the midges
