I do find him incredibly negative. Charlie says it's realism, but it's not is it. It's incredibly negative and downbeat thinking. Already dismissing players as development. What was Tom Bayliss last season? Dominic Hyam? How key were those to us in the end?

Lets just back the team and see what these new players can do before all the gnashing and wailing.

It’s the thing nowadays Otis.

Be incredibly negative rather than have an opinion based on anything.

Write a really critical post based on a load of bollocks because it will stir up a ton of shit & get replies.

That’s it. No other reason for it other than to get replies. Polarise opinion to stir up the nest...

It's called realism. We scraped promotion from the bottom division last season, have hardly changed the squad, with key members of that squad having barely had a pre-season due to injury, and on top of that we've sold our only goal threat and not replaced him. Yet the expectation on here and on social media is that we'll challenge? This isn't an easy league to get out of as we know from our five previous seasons in it, and preparation is key and so far our preparation has been poor. I know Robin's aim is to get promoted again this season, he's said it multiple times, so that's the standard I'll hold him too and so far I've not been overly impressed.

It is not realism because your expectations are unrealistic. Nobody has said it is an easy league to get out off. Nobody has said the current squad will get us promotion. I think most feel it is going to be a season of consolidation and a 10-12th finish would be decent. The incoming players have potential and better than we were attracting a few seasons ago.

Top half would be a great platform to build for a challenge in 2019/20

The realism is that we have a considerably weaker strike force in a higher league.

The rest of the squad is almost irrelevant if we don't get that area right.

I'm really not sure why so many people are turning a blind eye and getting on the case of other fans that express concern.
