Really believe that we have a world class coach in Adi Viveash.

Obs a lot of credit goes to Robins for last year but looking at how much better our players came on (both technically and in how we played as a team) as the season progressed is a real indication that we have great coach.

He came in last August but I really believe Adi is the staff member we need to keep at all costs. You cannot underestimate how important a good coach is to a team-not only in tactics but in spirit.

His previous work at Chelsea has also brought in a top quality youngster who specifically came to City because of Viveash.

He’s one reason why City are on the up.

Nope, indeed. It's also partially down to Stuart Beavon, Peter Vincenti and the rantings of Kevin Nolan.

Many pieces to a single jigsaw, Grasshopper.
Wish you hadn't made the grasshopper reference, can't get that programme out if my head now!

We certainly slowly but surely improved once Viveash came on board. That’s no criticism of Robins by the way but sometimes you get managers who manage the players backed by a good first team coach who get the players performing, such as Bertie Mee/Don Howe at Arsenal and Joe Mercer/Malcolm Allison at Man City, yet both Allison and Howe struggled as managers. I always thought Strachan was best here when Big Ron’s assistant than when manager.

I'd say Strachan was a decent manager until Richard Money left.

When I read this thread title, I read it as referring to Adi Boothroyd and I thought "cult of Adi? not at this club mate!"

That said I wouldn't have sacked him when SISU did, despite the dire run we were on at the time.
