Chief Commentator!
Un named league 1 club has bid (believed to be around £300,000) for Danny rose. Has MR Chandged his target ?

SSNews sources said it was Posh, apparently.

Bound to be :( They always seem to beat us to players’ signatures!

Wouldn’t mind seeing Rose here though! If only we’d made him one of our 20 number 1 targets!

Chaplin is 50/1 top goalscorer odds anyone having a punt if we sign him his odds will drop sharply?

Don’t think it will be Chaplin now. I expect robins to be looking elsewhere and bring in one striker today or tomorrow and another next week.

Page 40 and we will sign someone. Whilst we wait can Robins get these youngsters out on loan that wont figure in the first team and get them experience.

Darragh MacAnthony suggests otherwise, reading through his timeline suggests that they did make an offer but wasn't near 300k, they reckon they were used to promote some interest as he's surplus to requirements there.

We had better stop posting on this thread then.

With Rose and JCH together up front we would be L1 leaders for strikers falling over

Imagine a windy day on a slippery pitch...

Thing is with Rose he seems quite a clever striker, wins free kicks, moves quite nicely off the ball. I'm not reading too much into his stats to be honest, 2nd half of last season when Flitcroft took over and particularly when Steve Evans left he lost his way. David Flitcroft doesn't like him I don't think, got rid of him in the first place when he was at Bury.

I'd take him. Wins a fair share of headers for someone not too big as well.

I only look at this thread to see if there has been an announcement, which there has not.

But you can reasonably assert that Chaplin is not forcing a move otherwise the agent would have made something happen regardless of Jackett's preferences surely? Therefore m'lud I suggest to the jury that Chaplin is actually quite ambivalent about leaving Pompey (incidentally did he really sign for them at 6 years old - 6 years old!!).

In which case, are we right to continue this? If he is not bothered either way, I am not sure he is going to settle here. I smell a disaster - over paid, not settling, fans disgruntled etc etc...
I reckon if he forces a move he will not get a payout from his pompey contract. If they choose to sell he gets paid
