It's an ideal opportunity for him to tweak his system and let the players he sees as starters get a bit more experience together and match fitness.

He would be mad to make so many changes to give the reserve 11 a runout.

Giving a rest to Andreu after his injury, Bayliss and Hiwula after 2 games in a week and interupted pre seasons.

Agree - anybody with a niggle, rest. Yes we want to win, but league is so much more important. Would be tempted to try and get a partnership going with Max plus either Hiwula/Bakayoko.

Agree with this, I would stick with a core and make a tweak with the more competitive places.

Bayliss Andreu Hiwula

Mainly attacking wise too, we need to work out what we are going to do there and get them to start clicking for the league.

Agree with that lineup if Willis is fit enough.

we need to bring Grimmer and Brown back in as fullbacks. Bring Stirling on in front of Grimmer after 65mins or so.
stick with Biamou and Hiwula

As been said, system hasn't really worked so far so Robins need to take opportunity to try something a little different.

Imagine Andreu/Doyle will be left out - can see a change up top as well.

Not really sure whether Burge or Obrien are his number 1 yet.

Think he will take the opportunity to give Grimmer and Brown more minutes but might not.

Andreu will probably be rested.

Definately a chance to get mins to Kelly, Brown and Grimmer.

650 sold far that's very decent for midweek cup game!

League Cup (or whatever it’s called now) games now go straight to pens in event of a draw after 90 minutes

Can’t say I’m bothered about the League Cup whatsoever, I can see it being scrapped completely soon and following Spain, Germany, Italy etc. in having one cup competition

What if we win and get Villa at home next round?

How did Oxford do last season? Don't think I know any of their players.

Judging by no strikers going with the u23 it suggests he might be top heavy.

Yes, but not sure on bakayoko up top? He seems more comfortable coming on to the ball rather than being fed it. Would swap him for hiwula and put max up front maybe.

Purely fantasy as I can't see Robins switching the system, or even to two up top, but I'd look at a few changes.

3-4-1-2 with emphasis on Sterling and Brown getting forward. Andreu & Willis to be rested for Saturday, and I'd look to swap Bayliss out so he can have at least some rest, probably around the hour mark.

GK O'Brien
RWB Sterling
LWB Brown
CB Grimmer, Hyam & Davies
CM Ogogo & Kelly
CAM Bayliss (Allasanni on around 60 mins)
FW Hiwula & Bakayoko (Biamou on around 60 mins)

Had to smile at odds on SBT for Bakayoko first goalscorer 8/2 !!! (used to be 4/1 where I grew up) Also, looks like Otis will be able to buy SISU if Tom Davies is first goalscorer (if it's someone else who has bet on him, they are trying to catch Otis in a hurry !!)

if Burge is still injured would you start Addai in goal, I can also see allassani playing tonight even though he played for the u23s last night

Im not sure, rather just play O Brien.

Allassani ran himself into the ground last night, would be surprised if he played tonight too.
