Burge
Grimmer Hyam Davies Mason
Thomas Doyle Ogogo Allisani
Hiwula JCH or Baka

That's assuming Biamou is out.

I was worried about Thomas defensively but he did well tonight.

Burge, Grimmer and Mason definitely need to come in - LOB, Sterling and Brown really poor tonight.

So disappointed in sterling, I was expecting him to be a bit dodgy defensively but to have loads of pace and beat a man, get to the byline and put crosses in but we haven't seen any of that.

Astounded how many people still want shipley to start. Admittedly in a poor team display last night but he was beyond ineffective. Cant recall more than 3 passes to a team mate and was generally anonymous.

442 away from home please, be hard to break down, win the midfield battle, get it out wide with natural wide players and get it in the mixer.

Thing is, people forget the bad bits when you haven't played for a while and your stature grows without kicking a ball, Shipley has fallen into this. Fans aren't happy with what they're seeing so demand someone else come in who is 'better', when in actual fact they're probably not. It will be the same with Grimmer who will have about two games before he gets skinned regularly and then they don't know where to look, same with Burge in for LOB.

Agree with the back to basics approach, especially after the performance last night. A concern though is can Doyle play Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday? He's looked off the pace already, but three games in a week is even more pressure - particularly in a poorly performing side.

Expect to see a repeat of Oxford.

Would rather see an attacking formation that go out to score, even if we lose. Current set up is ridiculous. MR you do not win unless you score goals!!!
1 penalty goal this year is pathetic

We put more players up front they have to drop players back - so disheartening so far

The problem is that we're getting out muscled and battled in midfield, the diagnosis that we need to go to one defensive midfielder is false.

We need to drop Doyle, away from home where the home team sets the tempo, he struggles to keep up with the game. We need Kelly back asap.

Agree with that, what we don't need to do is like Oxford when it was effectively just Ogogo on his own and Bayliss awol where we get even more overrun.

They also barely leave their half, we saw it with Kelly last season how he was so deep. Later on in the year he was a different player when he had a bit more freedom.

Trouble is we have no on field leaders. Davies has potential to be a leader but that's it. For me Ogogo was far poorer than Doyle last night, and whenever Kelly is ready to come back & unless Ogogo improves quickly, I think he is the one more likely to make way.

Agogo was an outstanding player last year so i would not write him off after 4 games or so! he is not used to playing with players that hide when it starts to get tough

Grimmer Willis Hyam Mason/Brown
Thomas Ogogo Doyle(Kelly) Shipley
---------------JCH Hiwula

Subs: LOB, Mason/Brown, Davies(Thompson if not fit) Allassani, Bayliss, Andreu, Baka/Ponti

Choice between Mason and Brown is who is most solid defensively.
Kelly if fit but assume he won't be
Would prefer Bayliss as a creative force but away from home the organisation of Doyle is probably more useful. Depends of course as well on if Doyle can physically handle that many games in a short space of time as he has looked a bit off the pace.
Shipley may not have been great but who else do we have who could play on the left and you'd be confident to provide cover for the LB?
