Takeover Update? (6 Viewers)

Why would a Thai investor buy Leicester?

Why would a German billionaire buy League 1 Southampton?

People need to stop putting their football club down.

Why would a Thai investor buy Man City?

Why would a Hong Kong investor buy Birmingham City?

Why would a Russian investor buy Portsmouth?

Simple - money laundering.

From what little I know about Hoffman's so-called investors, I am very concerned - you are very quick to condemn SISU but not so quick to have a look at those who purport to be behind Hoffman's bid. Blind leading the blind mate.

And you are just as quick to defend SISU and their faceless investors....with the FL not knowing who these people are then who can say whether there is any money laundering involved or not? As for Fisher doing a "reasonable" job we are under a transfer embargo whilst our rivals are and are able to strengthen for the final fight for safety whilst we struggle with what we've got. Your definition of reasonable is certainly different to mine.

How is is Fisher's fault we are under a embargo? You do realise that SISU and the board are not one of the same?

We're under a transfer embargo because the board which includes one of SISU's main men have failed to secure investment from SISU for the future and have not presented accounts on time resulting in a transfer embargo...you do realise that don't you?

So you endorse the so-called Hoffman bid even though you know nothing about it - who is involved, the business plan, the investment etc.

Yep - easy to SISU bash but I for one am grateful they continue to invest and keep the club afloat - for all their faults (and there are many).

I suggest you do a bit more digging around the so-called Hoffman bid - you might not like what you find.

I did confront Hoffman at the casino and put him on the spot about what I had heard about the business practices of one of those allegedly connected with his bid (from China), and he was distinctly uncomfortable with my line of questioning and evasive in his replies.

I am not saying SISU are perfect, so do not twist my words. I am not however going to back a bid lacking all credibility out of hatred for the current owners. I remain objective and will make my own mind up. What I object to are other's who want to impose their views on others in the form of protests and ridiculous posts.

So they are late filing their accounts - must be a conspiracy to shaft all the fans then - could not possibly be a reasonable explanation.

Do not twist your words? I can't see anywhere on my post where I "endorsed" Hoffman or his backers! Think you need to re-read what I said before you go on the attack like that.

Spoke to Hoffman in Casino last Tuesday, his words were SISU wont sell they want his consortium to invest in a joint partnership.....end of:facepalm:

stand corrected but i was sitting next to Hoffmans seats and never seen him there on Tuesday. I saw Elliott etc but no Hoffman.

"And you are just as quick to defend SISU and their faceless investors." - your words, not mine. If you read my posts you will see I am consistent in my opinion. SISU are at fault and their ownership leaves much to be desired - but that does not mean I seek to evict them out of malice and given blind faith in the self-proclaimed saviour Gary Hoffman. I do not need to re-read anything.

You are talking the usual negative bollox that go with your threads. Who is this "dodgy" Chinese business man then ? and why should GH tell you anything so you can blurt it on here. If you know who this Chinaman is tell us and what business he is in, not hard is it.

No conspiracy theory...I only mentioned facts and avoided the conjecture that most others...including yourself seem to indulge in on here. As a result of this failure we are likely to go into what is the most important 10 games in a lifetime unable to strengthen an already painfully thin squad whilst our rivals like Doncaster can do what they like...The Board...SISU...whoever...have fecked up in my opinion.

Wondered how long it would take you to appear - same old tosh as usual. I do not need to tell you anything cos you know it all don't you. You are well informed. You are "in the know" - I mean you keep posting to reassure everyone all is well behind the scenes, a nod and a wink from you and salvation is imminent. Thank God for Richard Keys - eh?

You know f*ck all about the backers.

Go on, share what you know.

You are basing your suspicions on what? Racism? Because they're Chinese they're dodgy apparently...

Sorry pal - but you have crossed the line. Suggest you keep your unpleasant insults to yourself. If you knew anything about me then you would not level the suggestion of racism. I have grown up facing racism 1st hand and I will not dignify your insult.

The debate has nothing to do with race but everything to do with the individuals concerned. For you to try and twist the debate towards racism is despicable and I will not tolerate it.

Best you and I just ignore each other from now on.

What little i've heard or know or think i might know i now keep to myself as it is what it is rumour talk or tittle-tattle and even if correct won't happen until or even if it happens. But i can just see astute business man Gary Hoffman used to dealing with government seeing you making a bee-line towards him and think ffs.

What bugs me is why we are reduced to rumours , guesswork and hearsay , why doesnt some one from either Hoffmans/ Sisus camp make a statement as to what if anything is going on . If Sisu are not interested in selling the club and plan to be here next season then let the fans know this , if Hoffman is working toward a takeover then let the fans know . We don't need names or amounts of money mentioned but just a direction in which all parties are moving .

Tend to agree but i see no news being good news, that's if you want this Hoffman bid to succeed. But we are told atleast one of his unknown investors could be slightly dodgy, perhaps TIMS could divulge what this info is and where he got it from. Can't be dodgy legality wise as, according to him has confronted Gary Hoffman in the Casino with what he knows.

We have their explanation - funding has not been guaranteed for the next year so the accounts can't be signed off (on a going concern basis).

I guess it's a matter of opinion whether or not you consider this reasonable. Personally I think it's just another example of the poor management and communication that we've come to see as normal.

SISU/the Board have had ample time to sort this out before it became a filing issue but they were either unable or unwilling to do so (unless your view is that they're so incompetent, that they didn't notice the deadline appraoching).

On the one hand we're told that SISU have no interest in selling the club, on the other hand the accounts can't be filed because they are unable/unwilling to provide guarantees of funding for the coming 12months.

Wouldn't you think that if there was such a doubt about whether they could/want to fund the business, then they'd be very interested in selling????

Well the Chinese down my road is well dodgy. Won't go there again.

Maybe that's what's delaying the takeover. Their profits have been hit by my absence. :thinking about:
