Trouble Verses Sunderland ? (6 Viewers)

A customer of mine who takes her 2 young kids to games at the Ricoh asked me if there's going to be trouble on Saturday,as she's heard there expecting some ? All I could say back was if there is it will be away from the stadium, and not to worry about her and her kids safety. She has obviously been hearing/reading stuff etc, and now anxious. I walked away thinking it shows people do worry about violence, but if you worried you wouldn't go to any " big game" but I guess she is right as a protective parent.

Yep. Surely completely changes your thinking if you are taking children with you.

I wouldn't think twice when going by myself, but if I was taking my daughter with me I would be much more wary and at least be having a think about it.

I can never ever remember any trouble against Sunderland - it’s a social media creation

I'm sure these fearmongering posts across social media will add to the excuses of Coventry fans not going.

Yep, but I have an event on. Daughter (and I) won best short film in a 10 second film competition.

Have to go down to a red carpet event in Leicester Square. :)

Valid reason. I'll let you off :emoji_clapper:

i've seen us play them at Roker Park, Highfield Road, Ricoh, Stadium of Light and absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.
Always been a few sad individuals bigging up silly things mainly about something that happened over 40 years ago.

Actually, that's not true.

Daughter has just corrected me. We are not going to the award ceremony until November, but next Saturday we are picking up the prize.

Am I still let off?

Nice one! Spare ticket going then and I’ll have it. :emoji_thumbsup:Don’t want to pay unnecessarily into the Sisu coffers :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Was it our highlights from saturday?

Edit: Or Beavons career goals highlights.

Or a edited video package with all of your mates saying a 10 second hello. Introduced by your own 10 second video at the beginning.
Hey! I liked your post and then you kept editing it and now I am not sure whether I like it anymore or not.

I dunno...I remember Gary Bennett trying insert David Speedie into a stand during one fixture.
As an aside, I think we beat them 5-0 in the return leg.

Taking 5&6 year old grandsons as usual, don’t expect any problems. They will be loud in the stadium and drown out our supporters.
Only to be expected when there are 5000 congregated together and the “ Wasps “ seem determined to spread our “ singers corner mob” all over the ground.

Every club has a few trouble makers but 99.9% of Sunderland fans I bet couldn’t care less about jimmy hill , their just coming for 3 points it’s just keyboard warriors talking about trouble.

The only time I remember anything remotely like trouble vs Sunderland (since 1992) was in or around 97-98 when we were 4 up after about 20 mins. I remember their lot having a bit of a go at the West Terrace after the game, surrounding the exits etc. There was a bit of a Mexican stand-off, can't remember much happening though. But nothing too different to what happened a bit more regularly back then.

At the time (I was only 15 or 16) I don't recall equating it to anything historical, I just assumed they were fucked off after a long journey and a thrashing, and endless pisstaking from the West Terrace, and wanted a bit of revenge. I wasn't really aware of the Bristol thing back then.
