Forgetting the personalities and the crap around Labour at the moment, and the question of whether they could deliver it, that’s probably the best description of my ideal political position.

Corbyn is the closest to a true Labour politician that has held a senior position in the party since John Smith. It's just a shame he has no control over it. The pioneers of the Labour party would treat the likes of momentum with the same disdain they treated the fabian society, the party founded for the 'urban working man' has become the mouthpiece for the middle class, ideological, angry graduate.

Of course, so we can't just keep saying that anyone who voted for Brexit was an idiot because they believed lies told by the political elite, they all do it, on both sides. The vote leave was an absolute protest vote delivered by people who have long felt left behind and disconnected to the two major parties in this country, we can't keep allowing those, (who still can't get over the fact it happened), to get away with using this as a 'get out clause' that they are just stupid, mislead, racist, uneducated and thick. The political establishment got exactly what it deserved.

Potentially making the UK worse off is not giving the political establishment exactly what it deserved. It is making the very people that you are talking about, those left behind, worse off. The political establishment includes right wing Tories like Rees Mogg and the Eton old boys such as BoJo. If you think handing them the chance to make fortunes was a good idea, that’s weird. I posted a quote from the EU in 2014 talking about the prosperity for all and not just those that are greedy. Yes, politicians talk, but better than 2% off corporation tax and deregulation. My point was confirmed by Banks who said he had to lead people up the garden path. Seems like you were one of those.

Maybe. But the urban working man shouldn’t have voted for Brexit. Labour‘s ad on about investing in areas where the urban working man has been left behind is the answer, or part of it - not Brexit. To blame urban working men being left behind on the EU, which guarantees certain workers rights, and was born following a war started by sovereign states acting purely in their own interests, was the wrong decision. I don’t see Rees Mogg and the ultra free market ERG backed up by their dark money think tank economic plans as a better way forward than multilateral cooperation. The anti foreigner sentiment behind some voters was used to turn voters against a benign organisation and do away with social progress.

You say my description of spivs etc applies to some MEPs is correct.. Farage was meant as one fitting my description, as were the other UKIP MEPs who got caught with their fingers in the till.

Corbyn talks Brexit with EU's Barnier

But look at what the British public really think. These are the top comments. Not bad for a pro remain outlet

Barnier does not want a deal because he want’s the punish the UK so that no other country will dare to vote against the corrupt, failed, political nightmare that the EU has become.

He’s the problem with his dogmatic EU rhetoric – he’s the most powerful person in Europe and yet no one voted for him.

Corbyn has betrayed Labour Leave voters, especially in the northern British cities by keeping ‘Remain’ as an option. No longer a conviction politician, this is utterly disgraceful.

Why do Labour think they would do any better at striking a deal with the EU?

The only way they will get a deal is if they give in to every EU demand; And any fool can get a deal if you agree to everything the other side demands and in return abandon all your demands.

Corbyn travels to the heart of darkness in Brussels as a humble supplicant to sell out the working class of the UK, Blair and the metropolitan elites will be happy
The EU does NOT negotiate. Instead, it simply says “what is your plan” and “Your plan is insufficient” and continues this charade until they get surrender.
Corbyn will be a “class traitor” if he does

Who is this dope to issue warnings!! A much much bigger national disaster would be him in government. When you have his Labour MPs, who represent their constituents, advocating social disorder and strikes it proves just how unfit this opposition party is to govern – a total disgrace! This current labour bunch would drag us down to being a third world country in next to no time.

If 'Uncle Joe' Corbyn and the rest of the loony Marxists ever get into power the EU quite rightly would be glad to see the back of the UK. Having worked in several former communist block countries and seeing the appalling state they were in when the Soviet Union fell, take my word for it he would be a disaster for us also!

In this farce that is Brexit it's no surprise that Theresa May who has to implement leaving is a Remainer and Jeremy Corbyn who has to oppose it is a Leaver.

Could we be in a more ridiculous position?

Some say BBC gives too much space to leave. The comments you post show how rabid some leavers are. He supposedly met Selmayr. Did he get a black eye?

Didn’t Barnier say over a year ago that the EU-Canada deal is the only deal that will work with Brexit? I see it’s Brexit hero BOJO’s “new” big idea this morning. No doubt his followers will be lapping it up even though it’s actually the idea of Barnier. If we go for that we’ve literally had no say in what shape Brexit takes. Everything will be exactly as the EU says it will be from the divorce bill to the final deal. Taking back control etc.

Tell that to the Ford workers where the EU borrowed the money to take their jobs out of the EU.

Personally I'd say the likes of Rees Mogg, Gove, Johnson, Patel etc are very much part of the political class. To think that these sort of politicians are sticking up the people left behind is insane.

They should stop getting the TV licence money. Things have changed since they were the only channels. Now hardly anyone watches them much of the time. It is mainly those who get their TV licence for free.

Why have I lost the plot?

Think about it. The only ones that get value for money for their TV licence are those who don't pay for it. Just look at how many people over the years that have been sent to prison for not paying for what they don't use.

And I am not joking.

I have gone quiet because all you few ever do is try to twist what I say and defend the EU as in your life depends on it.

Then you pretend it is a debate.

We have never had much of a say. And as the EU doesn't want to negotiate we don't get much of a say in leaving until things change either.

Maybe when Fox said they would be the easiest negotiations ever he always meant that we should just ask what brexit is then agree to it. That’s basically what we’re going to end up with even if Boris tries to take credit for it.

Anyhow I look forward to you pouring scorn on the brexiteers who were promoting us as having the upper hand. Like you’ve just admitted we’ve never had much of a say and I know twisted truths are a bugbear of yours so I’m sure you’ll be all over them and not using distraction methods such look at Selmayr.

Strange that the majority of people who get their TV license for free and mainly watch BBC voted leave. Do you not see the contradiction there?

Would you like to point out where I have said differently?

You spend too much defending the EU and having a go at anyone that has anything to do with Brexit that hardly anything else registers.
