Yep. Trolling.
Your bang on the money Otis .I care. I care because of the boost it must give to those working within the academy.
It's the equivalent of them getting a behind the scenes Oscar and shows they are doing a great job.
If we care about the club, we care about the academy and if we care about the academy we should surely care that one of the players they produced then went on to play for England.
You gotta pay the troll's toll if you want to get into the boy's hole. What about covcity4life?

Bottom line is it's great work by the academy team and we should all be delighted Maddison has made it.Your bang on the money Otis .
And if Maddison plays and scores for England, we can all sing.
He's one of our own, James Maddison he's one of our own.
You gotta pay the troll's toll if you want to get into the boy's hole.
But funny.Disturbing.

I like you.Blimey another win. How many is that this week alone?
Thanks for falling for the trap
Now turn your post around and put down Sanchos career being down to leaving man city instead of being coached by guardiola. You simply cannot say it made his career, as you say whataboutry
Haha game set match. I am too good at this!
Church bell ? !!Indeed. Clear as a bell.
Haven't said a peep about Sancho. However, it is fair to say that he probably wouldn't be a starter at City like he is at Dortmund. Can't know it for sure, but the kid has made the decision he feels is right for him. In a way, his call-up will probably inspire a lot of others to move abroad. Lookman is the one that's pissed me off a bit, established himself at Leipzig last season and then comes back to Everton and doesn't get a game. The pressure of immediate results doesn't lend itself to bedding in a kid. Case in point with Foden.
He's a Vicar so its allowedDisturbing.

They said "look man you gotta stay!"Lookman wanted to go back to Germany, but Everton wouldn't let him.
I considered that joke and discarded it.They said "look man you gotta stay!"
Is that a serious comment?
People are wanking over an ex player getting picked for England, so fucking what?
“I’m not going for laughs, I’m going for gasps”But funny.
Yup.Also....
I genuinely don’t know, also too lazy to read 5 pages of people saying the care/don’t care...
But, when was the last time a player who started at Cov was capped by the senior squad? I’m not including Daniel Sturridge I’m this.

Thank youKirkland
Agree but the annoying this is that there has been more reference to Norwich than us!Yup.
Just don't get the 'don't care'.
This is absolutely fantastic news for our academy. We should all be very proud.
This is me being curmudgeonly and old, but in1967 Bobby Gould, a Coventry born player scored a hat trick in the First Division against Burnley (I was there) which to my old fashioned mind means that Callum is just another Coventry born player to score a hat trick in the top flight. The idea that football began with the Premier League is one of my pet hates. Another, which was exacerbated by watching the Portsmouth goalkeeper on Tuesday, is goalkeepers who collect the ball and then fall over to waste time. (Yes I know Burge does it too). It needs to be looked at along with all other timewasting tactics which frustrate the life out of me.
Not saying it was better. Just pointing out the things that irritate now. They outlawed the back pass and with a bit of ingenuity and the will to do it, all of the timewasting that goes on could be got rid of too.You are right football didn't start with the Premier League. In the 70's do you remember teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and Leeds passing the ball back to the keeper who could pick it up and cuddle it. Then roll it to a full back who would pass it back again, so the keeper could pick it up and give it another cuddle. Then the ball thrown out, they would make about three passes and pass it back to the keeper. Then there was the cynical foul never bad enough for a booking but could end a scoring opportunity.
The idea that football was better in the good old days is a myth. The memory edits out the dull bits just like in 20 years time the dull bits of this season will be edited out.
