Burge 7 another good game. No higher points as didn't come up with any big saves. Not that he was at fault for the goals

Brown 6 looked good till final 20 and started to get done and make mistakes

Hyam 7 steady Eddie

Davies 7 the rock. If you smellll what he's cooking

Sterling 7 getting better every game. Exciting

Doyle 6 a good game overall but did not lead by example near end and looked as flustered as anyone

Bayliss 7 seemed to get more space today and sprayed some nice passes before his well placed goal

Thomas 7 worked socks off both in attack and defence

Hiwula 6 cracking goal

Jch 7 could have been a 9 or 10 rating game but missed a few good chances. Still a good performance

Chaplin 6 brilliant free kick and he seems to be trying harder to hold up ball played into feet. Still nonchemistdy with Jch yet tho

Jones 6 unforuntley for Jodi the game went from riot to nervous quite quickly other wise he could have had somw fun i think

Kelly 6 a very smart yellow card foul!

2nd game in a row with no-one less than a 6 and no-one more than an 8. Banging out some consistency in performances while still plenty to work on - game management, composure, free kicks, just as a few examples. Glad to see the general fitness issues seem to have been ironed out. Thought the subs could have been better today, Bradford's goals were a mixture of fluke and complacency and don't think we were ever in any real danger - opportunity missed to get a few more minutes in the legs of the back ups considering it was our first midweek league game for a while.

7 means played well without any real problems

Burge 7
Sterling 7
Davies 6 - some silly free kicks given away
Hyam 7
Brown 7 - clearly getting fitter but not so good late on
Sterling 7 - improving, nearly scored and superb run and cross nearly leading to a goal early in the second
Doyle 7 - some poor free kicks but otherwise good
Bayliss 8 - playing a more disciplined game but so comfortable on the ball, goal Notts County esque
Thomas 7 - his dribbling and ball control is superb, just needs that end product but he's so important to us
Hiwula 8 - worked hard but buried a brilliant breakaway goal
JCH 8 - doing a great job leading the line, irreplaceable at the minute imo
Chaplin 7 - brilliant goal and starting to work with JCH

Subs
Kelly 7 - won numerous second balls and calmed us
Jones 7 - so exciting to see him back
Shipley 7 - necessary solidity

Has JCH finally stopped falling over every time he gets the slightest touch from an opposition player?
Last time I saw him (a few games ago) he was worth his weight in gold for his defensive performance, clearing headers from corners etc, but didn't win any in attack.

I thought Biamou's injury could be a blessing in disguise at the time. It forced Robins hand into playing JCH to lead the line. I think hes been excellent a few times since hes been back in the team... Even though he missed two sitters today!

I didn’t think the one on the replay was a sitter. Defender is pulling JCH back by his right arm, he still got his header on target requiring a good save to be made.

Burge - 7: His confidence is higher than it has ever been. The fans are finally behind him. Solid game.

Dujon - 7.5: Looks a world ahead of the player he seemed 5 weeks ago. Touch is strong, causing problems going forward and sticking his head in.

Hyam - 8: Constantly dealt with the long ball.

Davies - 8: Same as Hyam. Won plenty in the air.

Brown - 7: As someone mentioned above. Did well until the final 20 where they were attacking at him.

Doyle - 6: Been very defensive of Doyle in recent weeks when others have criticised him, however, I wad disappointed with him tonight. Few iffy mistakes here and there. The ball was flowing incredibly well between the likes of Thomas, Bayliss and Chaplin but Doyle seemed to slow that. His set pieces were very good tonight though.

Bayliss - 8: Classy, classy player. Goal was similar to that of the one at Notts County.

Thomas - 8: Thought he was brilliant tonight. Constantly caused them problems. Worked tirelessly back towards our goal in the first half.

Hiwula - 8.5: His goal was brilliant. Length of the pitch in what seemed like no time at all. Another player beginning to thrive. I think he could score 10-12 goals this season.

JCH - 9: Had it not been for two good saves, Jonson could have had 3. He was brilliant. Constantly plucking balls out of the air. Bullied their centre halves.

Chaplin - 8: Top free kick. Link up play was very good. Cause them problems all night.

Subs:

Jodi - 7: Caused them problems when he came on. Certainly hasn't lost any skill.

Kelly - 6: Poor header for their second goal (I think it was Kelly?). Some lovely little touches.

Shipley - N/A.

Fans: Just like at Southend, noise throughout from the SBA. Numbers were decent considering the sizeable distance on a Tuesday in October. Totally outsung Bradford who made no noise all night.

Why be down on someone that has the ability to buy free kicks and simultaneously wind up defenders. Valued assets.. and aren't you glad he is doing it for us rather than against

You guys were at a different game to me
Thought Baylis was not effective first half. Looked completely out of touch and tired. Improved after half time with well taken goal. Was his first forward movement when he scored.
Hiwalu was disappointing. Good goal but keeper should have saved it.

Great 4 wins on the bounce and a happy Skyblue but Bradford were poor, so let's not get carried away.
Let's beat Donny and maybe start dreaming.

Burge - 6 - Didn't really have much to do, not much of a chance with either goal.
Sterling - 7 - Again, got forward really well and a great cross that JCH should have scored
Hyam + Davies - 7 - Won everything pretty much. Hyam lucky not to give a pen away though in the first half
Brown - 6 - Quite solid, moment of madness where he tripped their player towards the end of the first half. Not sure if he tired but he got terrorised at times.
Doyle - 7 - Thought he was better tonight, didn't slow the game down as much. Better corners for the inswing but free kicks still not the best.
Bayliss - 7 - Extra point because he scored, obviously he's sitting back a bit more so isnt as noticable which isn't so much of a bad thing
Thomas - 7 - Another decent game, defended well but just needs to get shots away quicker. I think he is about the only "forward" not to score now.
Hiwula - 7 - Extra point for his goal, started with him winning the ball and then making the run. Had loads of time to think about it as well so could have fluffed it.
JCH - 7 - Could have scored a couple more, the one from the Sterling cross was on a plate for him.
Chaplin - 7 - Great free kick, some nice touches and lots of running

Jones - Didnt really see much of the ball
Kelly - Took a booking for the team
Shipley - NA

Burge 8 ... is a different player this season ... never looked in danger and his kicking now dependable
Sterling 7 ... superb cross for JCH ... has got over those early game nerves
Hyam 7 ... won most of his challenges... looked a pen to me?
Davies 9 ... so solid... set up first goal ... bosses the back line ... they were offside so many times cos of his / our discipline
Brown 8 ... beginning to show why we bought him ... defends well and a threat in their half
Doyle 7 ... was covering all night for a lack lustre Bayliss
Bayliss 6 ... generous mark cos of his goal ... looks like he thinks he has become golden balls ... want to see his form of last season
Thomas 6 ... works hard but no end product ... Jodi on the horizon?
Hiwula 7 ... great finish and is always available when we break
JCH 8 ... does so much unseen defensive work at set pieces... if he'd finished one of his two other chances he'd have got a 9
Chaplin 8 ... great free kick ... much better hold up work... was an inch away from giving away a pen.

The point is he wasn't last season and at the start of this. I think most people recognised there was a better player in there than we were getting. I don't think anyone is getting down on the player. Just acknowledging a change in attitude, that seems to have followed since Robins went public with something like 'he plays better when he is angry.'

Think a lot of it is fitness and reaping the rewards for a run of games after a long injury, same as Brown. We're going to get new injuries at some point too though, management of our back ups is going to be key to maintaining moment and I do feel we're a bit over reliant on the first XI right now - not a lot of first team minutes in last night's bench, Shipley aside.

Burge 7 - Not alot to do. Come on leaps and bounds over the last 6-12 months.
Sterling 7 - Again vastly improved since Sunderland, another great cross for JCH which he should have finished
Davies 8 - This guy is phenomenal, solid and will always put his head in where it hurts for the firm.
Hyam 7 - No complaints about Hyam, always solid and very good in possesion
Brown 6 - Still fills me with dread, does something really good then divies in stupidly. Lucky to get away with a couple.
Thomas 7 - Brilliant first half, constant threat, desperate for him to get a goal.
Bayliss 7 - Getting better at the defensive side of his game with every appearance. Took his goal well, carbon copy of Notts County.
Doyle 7 - Steady again (Maybe hes not too old). Corners have also improved over the last two games.
Hiwula 7 - Good attacking threat, runs at defenders, keeping Jodi out of the side atm
JCH 8 - Put himself about as usual, won almost every header and held the ball up well. Should have had a hat trick.
Chaplin 8 - Runs are fantastic, always finding space to be free from throw ins, good partnership building with JCH.

I really want Davies to stop flying into challenges and bringing his other leg through to scissor the striker. He's going to get sent off eventually for this.

Perhaps he should leave his other leg on the bench? Surely we want a bit of strength and aggression in our defenders? I was at the game and didn't see him do anything that would warrant a red. He picked up a yellow for a hold. He will be punished for tackles throughout the season... refs interpretation... it goes with the territory. You can't be warrior and dish out love tokens.

All of the above except I would give Thomas a 7 aswell. Must be a 6 I guess for that awful slice that resulted in the handball goal that was chalked off for Bradford?

Hiwula is going on the back of my new shirt.*

*it’s not really as I’m not 12 but if I was it would be
Na, Hyam for me as it’s only 4 letters. Don’t want to put too much into the Sisu coffers.....

Sterling 8, The no 1 right back for us now, his cross for JCH in 2nd half deserved a goal. Sublime.
Davies 8, been brilliant for us since hes come in, important at set plays at other end of pitch too. A little bit concerned about his hot headed streak. Has a red card in him at any point of the match.
Hyam 7, Tough match for him to comeinto on a slick pitch, did well.
Brown 6, some really good stuff and some average defending.
Thomas 6, thought he had his most ineffective game for a while, still worked hard for the team.
Doyle 6, Worked hard, good leader, good set play delivery again, but is slightly off the pace.
Bayliss 7,
Hiwula 7, looks to have his confidence back good anticipation of opportunity for his goal, always looking to get in the box.
JCH 8 motm imo. Briliant performance, deserved a hatrick, their keeper made 2 great saves from his headers. Looking a strong striker at this level.
Chaplin 7, Brilliant free kick, didnt realise how good it was until i saw the highlight at 3am when we got home.At the end would have prefered him take on last defender for a goal scoring opportunity than try towaste time in corner flag.

Not the best performance, we looked more solid against Southend and Wycombe. But all in all il take that. Was great to see how stepped it up a notch after their first goal once their crown got their voices up.

Another hoodoo ground ticked off!

Can't help but feel there's a lot of over rated ratings on here because of a scoreline that, quite clearly, flattered us.
Don't think any player (maybe JCH aside) from last night that deserves more than a 7. Especially from a defending point of view. I'm happy we scored 4 and got the win but Bradford were poor. And we still allowed them to put the ball in the net 3 times with ease. Every clearance from defence was half cleared or scuffed or sliced. It was comical at times.
Their 1st goal, any one of 3 unmarked players lining up along the 6 yard box could of headed that home.
2nd goal, that headed clearance from Kelly summed up how badly our defence had been at clearing our lines all night.
And goal 3. Why did their player feel the need to hand ball it. If he'd of just left it, that sliced clearance from Davies was probably on its way into the back of the net on its own accord.
To get carried away after putting 4 past a struggling team who put 3 past us with our help is madness.
I'm happy we got the win but we looked dreadful so 6s all around except 7 for JCH and Kelly and Davies both 5s.

Wow! All these players that were all so bad a few weeks ago are now all so good.

We've gone from they're all terrible signings and Robins' clock is ticking, to 'can we now get promoted this season?'

Ha! Football fans.

So up until 6-7 weeks ago did you think they played well then?

We had 10 shots on target to their 3 and it was Thomas with the sliced clearance not Davies

Yes, I thought it was Thomas at the time who shanked it.

How do you confuse Thomas and Davies?
