League performance based on results (8 Viewers)

I thought it would be interesting given the slight break in the League to arrange each teams performance from bottom up in sets of six.

What you are looking for are patterns within the data.

I’m a guy who loves stats and analysis, but I genuinely have absolutely no fucking clue what I’m supposed to be looking at here. What does any of it actually mean?!

I think I will print each table out, lay them together and thoroughly analyse them. Once fully scrutinised I will roll them up and use to light my fire. Who suggested they weren’t useful?

How are the points attributed?

Interestingly, I did wonder how accurate the website was myself. So I downloaded the website and then put it into Dreamweaver to find out.

It does look pretty accurate. Here are a few snippets.

I've actually used Glicko to help some of my L1 accy's this year.

I've won 1 out of 10, which is one more than usual.

I'm up to 7th in the prediction league so far and I have no clue about football :)

Here's the prediction for the next round of League matches.

Don't bet your house on it.

You knock yourself out mate. You’re enjoying it and that’s all that matters.

The fun about Glicko-2 is to come up with logical arguments about why it is wrong in its predictions.

It is no substitute for the League table but it does complement it.

What am I missing? Isn’t league performance based on results the league table?

More or less yes, but with the Glicko-2 system you get rating points for wins, and minimal for draws. So a team that has won more and drew not as many could be higher in the Glicko-2 table.

I'm sure Phil got these as a kid and didn't get bored of updating it after a week like everyone else

2018-19%2BMatch%2B-%2B2018-19%2BSeason%2BTracker%2B-001b.jpg

The things we’d do as a kid, spend over a hour carefully pressing these out to lose interest by the time Tuesday nights games have done.

Funny how it says my team is on this particular one.... just in case you forget your a Man City fan this week not a Liverpool fan, oh and has the SPL like anyone gives a toss.
