in my view it will be 30+ m

this will mean another windfall in the region of 4m

if this happens I would be happy to see 0.5m given to MR this season to support a promotion push and the balance to help plug any gaps over the next 3 seasons

This makes more sense than a 1 off chance this season and would give us the opportunity to provide a foundation for a rise to the championship during that period

if we get to the championship we would then have much more value in the squad

You'd be happy to receive 0.5m from a windfall of 4m?

I would be happier to see at least 1m and at least a bit of reinvestment in the academy.

his stock has certainly risen given the start to the season he's had.
Hopefully he stays fit and wins an England cap.

£16 only on line. Would we get £0.5m? Bloody good return is that.

He won't get an England cap if he goes to Chelsea.

He needs to play matches in order to get an England cap.

Probably end up on the bench maximum at the Bridge there. They collect players like they are Panini stickers.

That’s nonsense. Loftus-Cheek in the squad and not getting games at Chelsea.

Haven’t we talked about Callum Wilson both moving on from Bournemouth and getting an England call up for about 6 transfer windows now? I’m not convinced either is going to happen.

1) his record at AFCB is excellent but he’s known to be injury prone. Can’t see a top six side signing him and playing him tbh. Moreover his best bet might be to stay at Bournemouth for as long as Eddie Howe does at least.

2) if Gareth S wd rather recall Wayne Rooney to play in a meaningless friendly than let Callum show what he could do I’m afraid the game is up for him. He just doesn’t seem to fit in the plans of the current manager - no matter how unfair that seems.

Hope I’m wrong abt (2) especially but that’s the way I see it.

Normally I would agree; as their policy has been to sign an extreme excess of players and over the last couple of seasons and loan about 30 of them to other clubs.

It’s my opinion that Wilson is more instinctive than Morata.

With Willian, Barkley and Hazard creating, Wilson will convert more chances than Morata has.

I think his call up is imminent, he is the name on everyone's lips everytime England call up a squad. I think he would do well at Chelsea although wouldn't have been my obvious choice for his next move. I think Spurs or Arsenal would have been more ideal but having said that Sarri has changed how they play.
You would think a direct replacement for Morata but he is also on fire too!!

Southgate will leave a more experienced player from the squad and ensure Wilson, Madders etc are in I feel as so far this proposed 10 minute substitute cameo from our record goal-scorer has cost about 20 people the opportunity of a glittering England career!

Is it just me that just doesn’t have that connection with Callum Wilson, his emergence came in the sixfields season to which plenty didn’t get to see or to warm to as we would of say like we did with McNulty last season.

Putting that aside tho he’s done very well in his career and come back stronger from injuries.

Au contraire, I never went to Northampton but still feel a stronger connection with him than Madderz. He never put in any half arsed performances like the former did once he'd moved to Norwich.

sadly not true anymore.
more than a few England squad players not guaranteed starters at their clubs - about 9/10 of world cup squad .

Not sure if its just me but I think from what I have seen of Loftus Cheek he is utter garbage

I have to disagree, he would get in most prem sides, big strong fast and can score goals, think he needs to move from Chelsea tho.

Not sure Chelsea would suit Wilson I alway imagine him in a arsenal shirt, he’s a goal scorer so put him in any team that creates and he will score

Is that why he doesn't get picked to play for England ?

If he was to leave Bournemouth, I think they'd want an astronomical fee based on current form... can't imagine they need to sell him and they would need to spend a lot to replace him. They could easily hold out for over 50m if he keeps fit and scores goals all season.

It was a throw away comment to be honest. Just don't think signing for Chelsea is going to enhance his England prospects much unless he plays regularly for them and I just don't see that unless they have key injuries.

And besides, on your Loftus-Cheek remark, there has been much talk of his England place being at risk because he hasn't/hadn't been getting enough game time for Chelsea.
