I hate them Vapers that chug on them and blow up massive clouds. Always looking like they want someone to say "You cant smoke here" so they can tell them its different.

Always look like right scruffs as well.
And right cunts as well!

I wouldn't have played him in the first place.

He put players on who were even worse. Wrong changes.
What are you on about ? Two of the players who came on have been regulars for weeks and the third Jodie Jones would be a regular in a lot of fans teams. The substitutions just didn’t come off it happens.

I'm on about the players coming on being worse than those that went off. It's simple really.

I think that Robins chappie should stay as manager for at least the next game or two, just to see how things pan out.

Walsall fan in peace.

Sensible reaction on here. It was a really good cup tie, could have gone either way but was written in the stars that Nicky Devlin would score today. The young fan who’s life was celebrated in the second minute was really special to Nicky (think Jermaine Defoe and Bradley Lowery). As someone says above, that was a one out of ten finish. You lot were class during that tribute by the way.

Slightly less classy when your second goal went in. Not a good look when it’s a scuffed finish and goalkeeping error to get an equaliser away at Walsall. But we’ve all got fans like that.

Anyway. See you in a few weeks. Same again hopefully, but maybe we used up the luck today.

Why were so many fans allowed to stand and watch the game from the walkway behind the goal? It’s for walking in and out surely, not watching from. If the pitch invaders had been at their seats, standing or sitting, the stewards and police would have been inside the advertising hoardings and on the pathway themselves. Then there would have two obstacles to getting onto the pitch. Not to mention the cans of calling and beer bottles allowed in. Not excusing poor behaviour at all, just interesting from a general safety perspective.

Matchwise a game of mistakes from full on defensive howlers to bad passes, choices and touches. But we came back from to goals down which is to be applauded. Disappointed Baylis and Jones made no positive impact at all. Shame to be out of the FA Cup but if we stay in contention for the play offs till season’s end I’ll reflect on it being no bad thing. Lots to take forward into the Burton game

Think there was more people
Didn't help that fans were standing just by the barrier which was about 3 yards from the byline

So next league match you expect Bayliss and Chaplin to be no more than substitutes then, two regulars part of a 6 match unbeaten fun, to be replaced by who ?

You tell me? How do you think they performed? Did they improve us? How did they give us a better chance?

It's really not hard to understand, bringing them on at that point made us worse. Play Chaplin instead of Shipley from the start and we maybe wouldn't need to chase the game at all.

saw a photo the other day of one of your players carrying the young fella onto the pitch before a game.
I'd imagine that was Devlin, fair play to him. Certainly puts things into perspective.

I didn’t go but got 80% of the game on radio, we let sloppy goals in, pure and simple, Three of our defence a mainstay in our recent unbeaten run where different, I rate Hyam but our backline seemed dodgy all match.. Having said that unless injured I wouldn’t have taken both left sided Mason and Shipley off but it looks like Robins went for the win rather than sit on 2-2 and take a replay I’d support him on that, don’t need extra games if we want to maintain and improve our league position

Shipley wasn't on the left. Hiwula was. Mason and shipley didn't come off.

That doesn't answer how the subs performed, it just shows you don't really know the basics.

Thought Chaplin did ok but didn’t really get the ball
Jones looks way off
Bayliss wanted too much time on the ball

No one added to the team and we took off Hiwula and Thomas who were our best attacking players

Hindsight is good though

Apologise for saying Shipley and Mason I meant Ogogo and Thomas got mixed up with yellow cards that may have been the reason they were subbed so they didn’t get a second yellow. You are being very picky, how the hell would Robins know how his subs would perform, regular players normally.

So he brought off one of our best attacking outlets on the day who had just scored because he had been booked?

Ok then.

Yep. Spot on. And once again you lot were class in joining in the tribute yesterday. Thank you.

If it was to protect him from a second yellow and a suspension yes, but long term what yesterday probably showed us we need better players if we want to maintain a strong promotion push. When Davies doesn’t play for example our defence is significantly weaker, after an hour or so our midfield wilt and surrender possession, happened yesterday. Got January transfer window coming up and hopefully if rumours come true a bit of dosh from a Callum Wilson transfer or even an England cap. You always need better players

Why would he have been sent off? He wasn't even at risk of it or on a final warning.

He had been harshly booked hadn’t he, the ref was at best dodgy. But never mind this bad piece of management by Mark Robins can be be rewarded with the tin-tack

What are you on about? You didn't even know who had been subbed off a couple of posts ago.

Now you are trying to say he was taken off to stop him from being sent off.

Im not saying Thomas was definitely substituted to save him from getting sent off i’m suggesting it could have been a reason, he might have been injured, it might have been tactical. It didn’t work, we lost, it happens. We are not in the second round, got a week off live with it and move on.

I don't think our players can handle the fans sometimes

When our fans get fired up, the players probably get fired up in the wrong way. Too much adrenaline pumping through them and they make poor and rash decisions. Players need to be able to keep a cool head when the crowd gets going.

I usually avoid the forum for a day or two after a defeat
The search for scapegoats is dispiriting
Well put. Most goals come from mistakes somewhere down the line, most losses come from we should have done this instead of that at all levels. Some big games on today the best teams in the country if not the world on show I bet most goals will come from errors somewhere

At least we'll have a week off before the next time we'll play them. 1st December for the 2nd round and we play Walsall again the following week on the 8th.

Time for the squad to put their feet up and recharge their batteries.

As for us fans, we will just have to go shopping to garden centres with our wives and husbands (I have one of each).

Just irritating to be out of these competitions at the first hurdle. I know the league is always the priority but a BIT of cup progress wouldn't hurt...
