I was born in Banbury, and it is not exactly Barcelona, but i hate it when people slag it off. even to this day its one of the few places i feel relatively safe when doing a visit of the local brew houses. I used to be a regular face, late nineties early noughties, and all the boneheads seemed to recognise me and go elsewhere for a fight.

Since I moved from Coventry every time I tell someone where I grew up I always get the same response. It's generally along the line of 'that shitehole?!' or 'well I guess someone has to live there'. Where does Coventry get this reputation from? I always thought it was a decent enough place to live, not the greatest city on earth by any shot but no baghdad!

Spot on kg82. I was sunbathing on Southsea Common today in Portsmouth and thats one of the nicest parts of Pompey. Some parts of Portsmouth are very rough. Just like anywhere though.

Their ground is an absolute sh*thole though....
