Chief Commentator!
Made a decent return today IMO! Certainly played better whilst he was on the pitch. Loved his celebratory dance (well moving of the arms) at the full time whistle after pointing up to the skies where the big man is!

Also just seen goals on SSN. And his celebration for the first goal was also pretty impressive!

Would be worried if he played better off the pitch :D

Said on another thread, well done Andy Thorn for making the switch.

Thomas was so, so poor today. Like a different player than we have seen at times. Bigi made all the difference.

Just highlights the fact that these kids need to be taken out of the side every now and then for a break.

Bigi needed the break from the first team and after today's performance it looks like Thorn got that spot on.

These young players are going to be inconsistent, its taken Ben Turner a couple of seasons to start performing week in week out. If there's one positive to take from this season, its the emergence of these players from our academy. Their better performances are really encouraging, but we've got to accept it's not going to be every game.

Tbf to Thomas, the best I've seen him play is when he was in the Clingan role. With Norwood it seems that Thomas is now third choice for that spot, but on the right side looks a bit of a square peg in a round hole. Hard enough playing at this level when he is still relatively raw, but out of position is even harder. I think long term he will be decent and despite being poor today, he can be excused. I hope he isn't chastised for it and that it doesn't knock him too hard - in fact a good test of character to see how he bounces back from it.

Yep - ill give Thomas the benefit of the doubt today. He's not comfortable on the right, and although he started well he got caught in possession a few times and you could tell it wasn't working.

He's far better in the middle, just not mobile enough to play wide.

Unfortunately regardless if we stay in the Championship... a rumoured Prem club is after Christie and Bigi in the summer.

Honestly, I don't want to lose either but I could accept losing Christie as I think Clarke is better but certainly wouldn't want to lose Gael.

having just seen his cockney pearley king-esque click of the heels celebration to the first goal I'm beginning to wonder what he's going to come up with next. This lad needs to play the full 90 on week in week out for his celebrations alone! With more goals coming from the team and subsequently more celebrations from the weird and wonderful world of Bigi he'll be a youtube sensation :D

Unless there is a takeover and we can pay competitive wages these talented young players will be offski the moment their heads are turned by a decent wage packet

I'd agree with that mostly, but Connor Thomas didn't.

Need to get them all tied down to longer deals though.

Doubt it to be honest. Certainly with Bigi. Thomas maybe, but Bigi won't leave unless he's pushed, very level headed and Sky Blue through and through
