Just can't get enough.... (1 Viewer)

I absolutely love this chant, however, I can't seem to make out what we are saying when we sing this, could anyone help?
Yet again though... Great support yesterday, and the celebration from the players at the end of the game has answered my question I've been asking all season "how much do they want it?"

Thanks for any help given! Let the great escape continue! PUSB

There's another part to the song isn't there?

Brilliant. Cheers. I can now be an addition to the noise!
And I also have to say the "Jesus" guy in block 15... What a legend and the Brilliant banter that comes with it!

Is that still going? Christ it's embarrassing. For one it's a Celtic song, and every mickey mouse team like Stevenage through to Doncaster has copied it. Didn't realise our fans had become so tinpot.

Obviously we have some cardboard in there too though ^^^^^

People like to sing songs at games to add to atmosphere and you brand what they sing as embarrassing because you don't like it, even though in your post you proved it's a popular chant! Which suggests to me you don't like chanting, in which case I may as well take my life size John Wayne cardboard cutout and put him in your seat next game!!

Well that's bollocks considering I'll chant any COVENTRY song that we sing, yes it is popular especially amongst small clubs who haven't really got a big enough fan base to create their own chants to do with their own club so they steal someone else's and replace one word. I bet you'd you be in your element it if we sang "We love you, we love you" for 90 minutes aswell, how about constant mexican waves and hilarious "banter" like calling the opposing fans "Interbred scum"

Didn't say I enjoyed that chant, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's embarrassing to chant it. Wind your neck in son

Are many chants original? I thought most were copied/modified from older origins. Not heard us sing this at home but it's far from the worst I've heard

When you're 2-0 up does it matter what is sung!
Everyone was in such a good mood they were singing anything and everything.
Just can't get enough sounded fantastic yesterday, better than PUSB every 2 minutes.

Well done everyone in block 15 again,
'We're Singers Corner we'll sing on our own';)

Yeah fair play to singers corner. No doubting they generate the noise. Any chance that left side right side song could die tho? Also, going down and still singing is just fuckin wrong! Also the how shit must you be we're drawing at home? Our home record is excellent lately! I believe the words are as above except it's everything you say rather than all the things you said and it ends with I just can't seem to get enough of.

All the best

The tinpot "fans" you are refering to are actually Cov "supporters",which means by definition they,ve paid money to see there club play and help bolster our meague funds for the running of the club(including players wages). They have only tryed to make the Ricoh a place with some atmosphere. It seems to me that if you wer,nt aware this was,nt being sang at home games then you havent been in attendance much of late, May I suggest you "support" the club, purchase a ticket and bring any or your own compositions of new chants to try.

We even managed to get Play up skyblues sang in block 21 on Saturday. Its amazing i honestly thought people in that block were opposed to anything other than listening to bbc c&w on there ear phones and eating there pack lunches. Great stuff long may it continue!!

Why debate about what is a good chant, what is a bad chant it's all about Gettin the ground pumpin and creating an atmosphere. I am sure the players respond to that rather than the actual songs being sung, if it wasn't for block 15/16 the ground would be like a church and all u wud here wud be the sound of everyone pissing and moaning. Did you mean pissing? Or have I just not been very observant to the goings on around me in the ground?!

For legal reasons I can't attend home games, however I hardly miss an away game and thankfully it's hardly ever sung away, apart from a few 13 year olds who heard it on the sky sports advert and thought it was really cool. Plus I contributed my own composition with "Take me Home, Highfield Road" I'll admit I pinched the tune off Man utd but at least the words relate to Coventry and it's not sung by every unimagintive set of fans in the country.
