What's everyone listen to?

Mine are:

Joe Rogan Experience - the bald announcer in the UFC (if you don't know him) interviews a guest. The interviews are long, insightful, funny and sometimes sad. Joe can really get his guests to open up.

Stuff You Should Know - Josh and Chuck are two likeable fellas who educate the listener on interesting subjects. The last one I listened to was about the Adidas/Puma sibling rivalry, really interesting.

The Sitdown with Mike Recine - The stories of some famous organised crime figure (or group) hosted by a very funny comedian.

The Peter Crouch Show - Finishes this week (for now) but Crouchy comes across very likeable and witty. Gives an insight into the professional game - what really goes on. They focused on a different area each episode like Changing Rooms, Kits, Nights out, etc

Listened to serial a fair bit, the woman who hosts it is so fucking good at her job.

Just started getting into podcasts.
I'd recommend - Caliphate - (New York times journalists investigation into ISIS and specifically a Canadian muslim who'd returned from it).

untold story of the Daniel Morgan murder - about the murder of a private detective in London in the 80s which exposes links to police corruption and collusion between MET police, criminals and tabloid journalists. Was aware of the story years ago after reading the book the Untouchables which it featured heavily in but this goes into more depth.

True Geordie - Three episodes in particular where his guest is Shaun Attwood who was known as the UKs wolf of wall street. Ended up doing time for drug dealing in the states, mad story, well worth a listen.

Athletico mince - Bob Mortimer, surreal and hilarious.

The Daniel Morgan one sounds interesting. Is it effectively a story or is it people talking about it?

it's a documentary. Made by Peter Jukes but Daniels brother Alistair who has campaigned for justice for his brother features heavily in it as do other members of the Morgan family.

There are some episodes, (in the 2nd series), which veer away from the story and talk about other instances of tabloid skull duggery! There's one episode dedicated to the actor John Awford who was exposed by the 'fake Sheik' for drug pushing.
Tells his side of the story and his claims as to how he was fitted up, (Ross Kemp doesn't come out of it very well if you believe Awfords version of events). . I enjoyed it.

Might have a look at that. Do you just get an app on your phone and it automatically gets them?

End of Days. Radio 5 Live. Eye opening documentary about Waco.
Flintoff, Savage and the Ping Pong Guy. Again Radio 5. Very funny.
That Peter Crouch. As above.
Caliphate. The fall of Mosul and IS.

I use the BBC Sounds App for my podcasts.

Athletico Mince is great although it takes big breaks sometimes.

Joe Rogan can be good although he's more quantity over quality in regards to overall output.

Bill Burr is brilliant if you like uninformed rants and he's consistently funny.

The old Gervais, Merchant, Pilkington radio shows and podcasts are always entertaining. There's loads of stuff on Youtube.

There's also The O&A show which was an American radio show that has given me untold hours of entertainment. It features loads of top stands ups and is about as un pc as it gets. I found Patrice O'Neal through it who was probably the funniest man alive at that point.

The Grade Cricketer- is well worth a listen Aussie guys but very funny goes from park cricket through to talking to international players but basically on the mickey take throughout and not very serious (plus they hammer the Aussies a lot!)

H&J Daily- addicted to these pair have to have my daily fix.

Peter Crouch - brilliant series and seems a great bloke!

Undr (spelt like that) The Cosh - Jon Parkin & Chris Brown interviewing footballers some pretty funny, honest and brutal stories!

The Football Ramble- easy listen

Tailenders- good to see Jimmy Anderson in that light! Good hosts.

The Grade Cricketer- light hearted take, good interviews and Aussies slagging off Aussies!

The Rugby Pod- Cov raises internationals Andy Goode & Jim Hamilton, funny, inside knowledge and stories!

Used to like Flintoff, Savage & the ping pong guy but now become boring, self indulgent and pretty safe.

I dip in and out of Football Weekly, a few FL pods & Nii Lamptey Show.

I regularly listen to the 5live boxing one with Bunce and Costello
Serial - Listened to the 2nd series of this regarding Sgt Bergdahl who walked off a base in Afghanistan, Taliban had him captive for about 5 years after that.
The Black Tapes - Interesting light horror one around a journalist investigating unsolved paranormal events. Quite slow moving but I'm still listening.

I've recently discovered The Offensive, highly recommend it. It's a mockumentary about a fictional football club in the Premier League, 'The Offensive' being a 5 year plan for their progression under the new owners (Operation Premiership anyone?). A lot funnier than I expected, mostly fly-on-the-wall conversations between a mixture of Chief Exec, manager, sporting director and head of communications. It’s like The Thick Of It if anyone used to watch that.

Other than that:
Football Ramble
On the Continent
BBC 5 Live Football Daily
BBC 5 Live Chequered Flag F1
3 Legs 4 Wheels F1
Nii Lamptey

Just finished listening to The Daniel Morgan Murder and thought it was fantastic. Anyone know of similar podcasts? I feel like I’m saturated with sports pods.

Quickly Kevin; will he score? Josh Widdicombe and a couple of others chatting all things 90’s football.

Some great interviews. Merson tells some good tales.

Ed Gamble and James Acaster - Off menu is a good listen if you’re a fan of either comedians.
