Yeah, but it's JCH. Nuff said.JCH pen shout looked strong for starters !
Yeah, but it's JCH. Nuff said.
He was a different animal yesterday wasn't he.Thats the only time I can think of JCH going down yesterday. How much more dangerous did he look staying on his feet ?! If he played like that every week he’d be one of my first picks, as it is maybe impact sub for last 30 mins could be his calling
No Pen for me, can tell by the reaction of the players aswell as no one really appealed for it.JCH pen shout looked strong for starters !
Wasn’t long after he came on. Looked like he was fouled...having said that I didn’t have the best view as it was far side of the area so may be some city bias....it’s not as if JCH ever goes down easily so stonewall in my book !
I think his "laboured" sprinting may owe more to him having titchy little short legs.think Chaplain needs to lose some weight! looks a bit laboured when sprinting. Seem to remember Mcnulty carried a little bit until the New Year started as well

I think I can remember but can't remember a massive pen shout?
JCH never goes down easily?
Powell just another average manager producing ugly football
Like MR then
Terry Gibson has short legs seemed to be able to move quickly though

so frustrating seeing Chaplin so deep.
That's what she saidso frustrating seeing Chaplin so deep.
Offside call from Powell is a joke. The Lino missed at least 3 clear offsides against their forwards in the second half. Hence the ironic cheer when he finally signalled one.
That's what she said
The goal was offside
The goal was offside (5.58). Also, looking at the replay of the big offside call against Southend, I'm assuming that their player in the middle wasn't deemed active (7.56). Clear penalty missed (1.55), though

Yup.Offside? Nonsense, it's impossible to tell from that angle and viewpoint. Looks about level on the Sky footage, so onside.

Frankly, I think Powell is clutching at straws here. If it is offside, it’s very marginal. He claimed they got ‘stronger and stronger’ and created the ‘better chances’. That’s a worrying assessment in my view because they didn’t threaten us at all but for one or two chances. He spins it as their goalkeeper made ‘one save’, that one save was top notch and kept them in the game. I thought we were average, to be frank, but Southend looked even more distinctly average. One thing I like about Robins is that he seems to make pretty grounded comments, even when we lose.
An excerpt from Powell’s post-match comments:
“Nathan Bishop had maybe one save to make, and we had the better of the chances but you’ve got to take them”. Utter nonsense.
Southend only really looked dangerous that last few minutes.
We were clearly the better side in that second half and as soon as we scored one we were pressing hard for another.
We deserved the victory.
Bayliss in desperate need of a rest. Winner and the assist for the winner in 2 matches.
Coinciding exactly with Robins dropping that negative deep set up and getting the ball down to play a bit of football. Who would have though an attacking midfielder would be more effective in an attacking team with people making runs in front of him, rather than receiving the ball 10 yards outside of his own box. He's not been in the best form but his own game was also hampered by having Doyle behind him and JCH in front.About time.
He has doubled his tally for both in 2 matches.
Check out @stevefloyd ’s post earlier in this thread. Not offside. Case solved.
Let's see a screen shot as the ball is played, not afterwards, looking across the pitch in line with the last defender. Then you have a chance of proving if it is offside or not. That shot proves nothing. That's not the offside point. This is (note, screenshoot after the ball has been played forward by Kelly, to Bayliss, in an offside position):
