difficult to evaluate Cowboys win when Seahawks had to adjust game plan for having no kicker 2nd half.
Colts defence under-rated. Texans just couldn't protect Watson.
Colts were underrated all round I think, since their comeback win vs NYG Luck hasn't really had to throw the ball in the second half. The game before they blew out the Cowboys. They have everything they need to beat KC. Then he will likely have to exorcise his New England demons, 0-6 vs Brady & Belicheck!

anyone waiting for a QB in a couple of years look out for Lawrence from Clemson. 18 years old and took apart a very good Alabama side last night in Championship game.

Bama looked a shadow of themselves, couldn't protect Tua who threw a couple of poor interceptions. Their defence couldn't get to Lawrence and he was able to pick their secondary apart. Justyn Ross their wide receiver looks to have it all as well. Both freshmen, couple more years of dominance for Clemson you'd have to fancy.

Looked a hard game to call before just because Clemson have a much easier schedule. But Clemson dealt with a normally brutal Bama defensive line and Lawrence just picked them off particularly on 3rd downs - very high % converted which was probably the difference on the game.
Bama put up a lot of yards but couldn't convert and were having to go for things from late 2nd quarter.
Clemson offense looks set for a couple of years but losing some key players on defence. Gotta figure next year's going to be Bama, Georgia, Clemson, Texas and maybe A&M & Ohio state fighting it out.

Only ever had one Super Bowl party and it was a damp squib. We picked the wrong game, because it was such a dull event, totally one-sided and we got completely bored with it.

iv seen the one held in town advertised last year, its quite hard for anyone to have a party due to the time difference and how long the event is too

Idiots?

Bears were the paint coating of a post short of winning and in fact, should have won. Field goal goes over, game won and a lot of pundits went for the Bears.

Maybe they should sack them all for all being idiots.

How about Nick Foles, giving the Eagles real headaches next year. The roster seem to raise their game when he's under centre.

bears dont have winning mentality, eagles do. you get too carried away with regular season records.
Nope. Was just looking at this one match-up and at the Bears defence.

They should have won it at the death, but were let down by their kicker.

Gawd, the trolling on here has hit an all time low. I suppose that's what happens when your team gets swept by the mighty Detroit Lions and you finish half a game away from dead last in the very average NFC North. At least Aaron is making his $$$ fro State Farm commercials as he does every January.

Last year he was injured, this year he didn't get the job done in the regular season and then got injured.
some beleive his injury this year is a cover for being dropped

i like him for what its worth, interesting to see what eagles do going forwards

Eagles are in a tricky situation with Foles. They either release him at the end of the season and put all their eggs in the Wentz basket, with his injury record and new questions over ability. Or they hold on to Foles, are forced to pay him $20m severely hampering their roster with Wentz's rookie contact soon to expire. Big decision for the Eagles.

Would be interesting to see how good Foles is under centre over a whole season too.

In other news, I'm glad to see Bruce Arians back in the league.

He is one huge win @ Saints this weekend away from making it a huge decision in my opinion. Lets not forget Wentz left them 6-7 before Foles took over and ran the table, including wins @ Rams and vs Texans.

Unless they can get a really good deal for Foles they should hold him for next season. He's only 29 and improving as he goes.
Playing behind a great offensive line - think they allowed 1 sack against Bears (Mack), Rams (Donald) and Texans (Watt).
Wentz better qb but Eagles better team with Foles??
Can Wentz stay fit for a full season? Can Foles deal with competing with Wentz when both are healthy? Foles does seem to play better without having to look over his shoulder.
Will Wentz be healthy for start of next season?
Think a lot is going to depend on the Saints game. Wentz was terrible against the Saints GW9. Foles has a better showing (even a close defeat) and the pressure is on. Saints hammer Eagles again and it probably makes decision to stick with Wentz as franchise QB and let Foles go easier. Lot of teams need QBs and draft class is weak so Foles could bring in some quality draft picks.
No easy answer for this one.

How they do this week and the week after if successful, will be critical to the decision.

So much riding on maybe just one single game.

Luckily for the Eagles Wentz is still on a rookie contract next year meaning keeping both of them will only cost $28.5. Who wouldn't prefer to have Wentz and Foles at that price over Kirk Cousins. Probably means they take the option, review for another year then one is a free agent after next season. Not a lot of cap space left in Philly and Agholor needs paying.

So.... predictions for this week.

Colts @ Chiefs

Chargers @ Pats

Cowboys @ Rams

Eagles @ Saints

Really tough week to call I think.

Colts can definitely cause an upset in KC. Think it may all come down to Mahomes. If he has a great game then I feel the Chiefs will win through.

Going to go with the very dangerous Colts though. Very close call.

Chargers at Pats. The Pats just aren't the same team this year and look vulnerable .Gronk has been a shadow of his former self too. I know it's Billichick and Brady and NE's fantastic home record, but have a sneaky suspicion that the Chargers will win.

Cowboys at Rams. Wow. Really, really hard to call . Going to go with the Rams here, but I am not wholly confident at all.

Eagles at Saints.

Think if the Eagles can get to Brees and disrupt him the Eagles will win. Saints need to give Brees good protection and NO need to get their running game going .

Going to go with the Eagles however and think the Eagles might be all over Brees.
