RT @HullCityLive: Two nil. Mcdonald. Cracking finish. All from McLean tackling Fryatt.

:D

Worth every. Bloody. Penny. Even when he wasn't fully fit, he had chances at Ipswich and was unlucky not to score.

There's more goals to come from this guy, I'm sure.

A natural finisher. They win you games.

McClean should have been off the pitch.....good job he wasn't then!

I said back last October time that we needed his goals if we had any chance to survive.

Could be a big 6 games for the lad.

I would play him next week. Peterborough's defence is not the strongest in this league by a long chalk.

Will be a big player for us. On another thread saying he won't score again this season....I guarantee he will. His movement off the ball is better than nimelys deserves to start now

He was a young striker and is starting to be a clinical finisher. Always defended the lad and hope to see him push on with us next season, whatever league we're in.

I say swap him for ALF ;)

Pleased he's proving the doubters wrong. He's the kind of player who with games under his belt will do well for us.

He was clearly unfit for this division when he came and that's why he struggled so much. He's fit enough now and has adapted to the faster pace and higher quality of the Championship and he's undoubtedly a natural finisher. That's exactly what we've needed and I think he could be an important factor in us staying up....glad Shitsu didn't flog him as planned.

well we have 3 great finishes so far!

murphy has really stepped up of late and if cody scan score like i think he can(PERSONAL OPINION ALERT)maybe thats king replaced too?

norwood on a season long loan and gunnars more than replaced

if we dont keep selling i think this squad is capable of mid table ,we need a backup LB though

Let's not get ahead of our station, we are a relegation standard team, we will get lucky/just deserve to stay up and that is fine with me.

What needs to happen is that if we stay up; there is serious investment in the team, otherwise we will face the same battles as this year.

If we go down, I can see us going the same way as Preston unless investment is made in the squad.

see im not so sure

we have been compettive in 95% of matches and lost by odd goal

next season promising kids will have experience under their belt whilst likes of cody will have pre seasons

norwood/nimely need to come abck or be repalced but this squad we have today starting with a clean slate would not be in the same trouble it is right now imo,it wasa terrible terrible first 3-4 months that did this to us where alot of people & factors were to blame

After only two goals, it's way too early for a comparison to King, although I respect your opinion!

Am yet to see the finish but it sounds quality.

I was pleased to see him line up against Platt rather than Nimely, as haven't all his other appearances been with Nimely? IMO Nimely needed a rest as its very rare that he has been taken off since he's been here, and although his work rate is there, the goals don't seem to want to come. Maybe we'll see Platt and Cody C Posh? That's what I'd like to see anyway.

From the relatively little that we've seen of both players, Nimley seems to be the better all round player but Cody seems to be the better goalscorer.

Cody's diving header against Palace, when he took a boot in the head, reminded me of the bravery that Ian Wallace used to show when there was any glimmer of a chance. Now if he could become half the player that Wally was................

As well as looking more liable to score since he's been back and somewhere near match fit; he's looked dangerous when not scoring too. Thinking back to Watford away, he only came on for a short while, and had two excellent chances - one of which was cleared off the line.

Looks a very, very dangerous player

Fantastic finish from Cody. We can see what he is capable of.

I think a solid pre-season and a few more goals in this campaign and we could have a tidy striker on the books ready for 12/13

He is a difficult player to place, he gets into good positions and seems a real poacher but apart from that I don't think he brings much else to our play.

Sort of if he doesn't score he is just there to make the numbers up on the pitch. For now I think he is better off being used as he is coming on as a sub and trying to nick a goal late on.
My post from another thread, I don't think his overall game is good enough yet to command a first team place.

just tihnk hes a "different" type of replacement if you know what i mean, can still do a job for us

p.s its 3 goals(burnley,palace and hull :) )

When I saw that Gills video I thought he'd be banging them in, I have high hopes for the guy. He wasn't and still isn't full match fit - just wait

I've always thought McDonald looked like he was short of match fitness when he arrived.
