Has it been said if she went out into the road in front of it?
Haven't seen anything about the mobile scooter yet in the press?

Yes apparently she stepped or rode out into the road.
The police car couldn't stop in time.
Not sure of her condition.

No idea about these particular cases but hardly a day goes by when I don't see someone step out into the road without looking as they're too busy on their phone.

My dad's car was hit by an ambulance about 2 years ago.
He was very very lucky not to be killed.
It wasn't his fault either, but he couldn't win the court case. It's so hard to prosecute an emergency vehicle.

Wonder if anyone is changing their minds about chasing criminals and lknocking people of mopeds etc. What a tragic waste and I don’t blame the police I blame the criminals they are trying to catch. Probably a statistical anomaly for 3 in such a short space of time but even so it’s tragic for each of the people affected by the three incidents

It depends on the circumstance.
The one yesterday didn't say they were chasing somebody, they could have just been going to a call.
Plus it isn't known if she went into the road in front without looking.

The police still have a duty to drive responsibly, excessive speed in built up areas unless chasing somebody isn't really acceptable

I was surprised how low that figure was as when I was growing up I thought it was huge!
So look at this
Reported Road Casualties Great Britain - Wikipedia
1970 there were 7500 deaths
1990 there were 5217
That is a huge reduction in traffic deaths to do with speed to do with safer cars etc etc
I’m not sure this huge success is really noticed at all
We should be really proud as a nation about this

I think "traffic cops" are very highly trained, and very skillful drivers. But I would be interested to know how many of the collisions, 480 write-offs and deaths were caused by "panda cars" (ask your parents, kids!), either directly or by taking it upon themselves to chase a bandido. And the number of TV programmes I've seen where the copper driving has had one hand off the wheel to operate his shoulder-mounted radio set is atrocious!!
