I'll say it (4 Viewers)

I agree it isn't good enough at the moment, but curious to know what your expectations for this season were?
Not playing one up front when two nil down.

Not playing two defensive midfielders at two nil down

Not watching us come out a different team every second half.

No silly stubbornness

I'm not even expecting promotion, just not this. V

Why? Quote expected goals and possession all you want

This isn't good enough.

We're not playing well at the moment, I don't deny that.

But I have seen enough this season to know that we're not far off being a decent side. We are a newly promoted team and we're 12th, that's not bad.

We are a goalscorer short of being decent.

There is no point in getting rid of Robins. We've been sacking managers for years and it's got us nowhere. Robins has a long term plan in place and is signing lots of young players.

Let's actually give a manager a chance at building something rather than getting back on the manager merry go round.

Start of the season? Mid table. Having seen how shit this league is? Playoffs.
I know it’s a results business and all that and the results could’ve been worse so far but you have to watch the games; Robins is useless at changing games when we go behind

Got any other expected goals stats?

Sure.

We spent about three quarters of a million on strikers and play one up front at two nil down

We allow one to miss sitters every week and then play him out of position where he is even worse rather then take him off.

I've given him a chance, he seems either too stubborn or unable to change it. It's the same things all the time.

My opinion is that we're in a very poor spell and performances aren't good but Robins is clearly pushing us in the right direction.

You only have to look at the organisation of our recruitment vs previous managers (some of whom are still lauded on this site on a daily basis).

We'll probably finish somewhere between 8th-16th this year and that is progress compared with our last season in League 1.

Unless he makes a miracle change next week he needs to go and take Chaplin with him

It's embarrassing, he looks lost
You know what I agree with you tactically he’s shit I sit behind the dugout he don’t even motivate the players he’s blew the budget I just want a manager with passion who is tactically aware at the minute I’m not going up next week wasting money on that

If he sticks with Chaplin then I am done with both of them... I have said it before he is not the answer!

Nicks right, assess our performances and the pattern repeats itself time and again. I dread half-times. I actually feel a bit sorry for Chaplin he’s been so poorly managed it’s a joke, he’s a rookie ffs.and should have been rested, dropped call it what you like ages ago. Looking at Robins and his career it follows a similar pattern wherever he’s been, good start, does okay for a year or so then slumps, happening here again.

2 years, repeat and fade. Let's keep doing the same thing expecting a different outcome.

Robins in from me but please get in the market for a striker

Genuine question.

When did we last sack a manager without justification? Can’t think any later than Black for me.

Why do people drone on about passion?

I can name loads of passionate managers who are dogshit. Kevin Keegans I would love it rant is as passionate as it gets from a manager, it was also a fucking embarrassment.
Know how and tactical awareness are far more important.

Sad to say but I’m inclined to agree Nick.

Robins looks lost, players look like they can’t be arsed and with the amount that are coming to the end of their contracts, some are clearly just playing out the season.

Whatever the expectation at the start of the season having watched most teams and seeing that we realistically could be pushing for promotion we are definitely underachieving.

Robins lack of motivation, clear lack of any tactics or match strategy and his team selections are a massive indication that we need a change.

One thing is certain, someone out there can grab this club by the scruff of the neck and take our great club back to where they belong.

Sad to say it’s not Robins-time for a change.

I think robins sent his progression backwards we was told by Pompey fans on here use him with a big man his development went backwards Down to the managers use of the player I might be wrong but we will never know had he played up top with a target man then who knows

How does that account for his appalling finishing?
