My car had loads of ice on this morning. Used the last bit of the toothpaste. Had to iron a shirt even though I thought I'd got one. Had cornflakes.

Only if it’s manufactured in Britain

Brexit will put an end to that.

The moment I felt like I'd really moved up in the world was when I got a car with a heated front window rather than just the back. The future was finally here

The only car I ever had with that (with those lines on it like the back one) was a 1989 Ford Escort. Ever since it's just been the blowers that point upwards :(

As I understand it, Ford had the patent on the heated front windscreens, and were the only manufacturer to do it until recently. I think the new Vauxhall Corsa's have the heated front windscreen, but still very few cars which do. Ford must charge an arm and a leg for the tech usage rights.

Is that with the blowers? Do you leave the AC option on that's built in or are you stingy?

Important factors.
Blowers, AC.

AC stays on all the time. Might explain the shocking fuel consumption I get!

Really? Wouldn't think it was possible to patent something so generic. The technology maybe but thats a good trademark to have.

My Lexus clears pretty quick, I haven’t charged the AC in ages so doubt that’s doing it.

Best car I’ve ever owned. Big Lexus fan now.
I do like mine, it's bulletproof mechanically too.

Downside is the fuel consumption, and also the cost of tyres. The wheels looked great when I bought the car, I honestly never considered the second mortgage I'd need to take out if I got a puncture!

BMW have had them for a while. I have a 2008 Mini with a heated windscreen. Believe VW group (VW/Skoda/Audi ataleast) have too - certainly available the last few years. Jaguar and Land Rover also have kept it since their split from Ford.

I can confirm my 13 year old Panda does not have a heated front window.

I have a top of the range Seat Leon, and don't have it.

I left Seat out because I wasn't sure. I know the other brands all have it though.

Fair enough, the Golf and Leon are the exact same cars internally and built on the same production line so just assumed.....
