He had paperwork saying it was a done deal, was our player.

The flip side is he says nothing and everyone gets there arse in there hands saying he’s not signing anyone just like supposedly Burge, Willis and Davies have not been offered deals and that’s MR fault too

If it's signed and he was our player, it would be random if they change their mind. Especially after signing Murphy.

If it's one more would people prefer it to be Edwards, O'Connell or an as yet unknown striker (Nuttall was mentioned the other day)?

Not sure what to believe from the telegraph, I bet if we talked about it enough on here again we could make them publish a story about that Drago guy from a couple of years back

Edwards (or another winger). I appreciate we’ve signed Wakefield but that’s stil only two genuine wingers in the team.

Whatever your view of their ability, we currently have four first team strikers, plus Ponti, plus any youngsters (e.g. Bremang).

Be interesting to see if he slams Darren Moore and West Brom in his press conference tomorrow

Let's be honest we've finished the window weaker than when we started
In what way? Cleared out 2 dead wood midfielders, signed a winger and a better midfielder than we had and then got rid of an awful striker. Good work more like

Don’t fancy his chances, better off hiding behind a keyboard the size of Darren Moore.

Nah he could fix up a Little Squeeky Robins persona, have sneaky tricks as his trademark!

I partly agree with the midfield but concerned we’ve a lightweight choice of strikers in terms of size and height. Yes JCH was not everyone’s cuppa tea and didn’t use his size to his strength as well as you’d hope but some days he did the business enough for the level.

We’re left with just Bakayoko with any strength, little in the way of plan B now

As a squad, I agree. Meyler should make starting lineup better. Do feel a little disappointed though.

It is only Doyle and JCH who were making the bench. Westbrooke was the preferred option over Doyle so Doyle probably would have dropped off when Bayliss is back. Baka is back as well so he would have had to pick between him and JCH.

Hmmm. It's more Harris who I don't rate particularly but one slightly crap striker is better than nothing which is what he's been replaced with.

Yeah, midfield is fine, it's JCH that bothers me a little. Just feel we need a more physical striker. jCH wasn't great but was best we had. I'd have been delighted if we'd replaced him even with a loan player as at least your trying to solve an obvious issue. So it's not the leaving of JCH, more not trying to add more physicality up front. Just feel it could have pushed us from mid table to challenge for playoffs. No point moaning now though, let's see how it goes.

He was gash. Deserves to be sold just for that header last Saturday
