I’ll repeat it again-the sensible people at the start of the season would all have taken mid table in relation to where we came from last season. For me that hasn’t changed and Mr Robins still has plenty in the tank as far as I’m concerned.
He is still a good fit but that doesn’t mean that he is untouchable and I would stick with him till at least the end of the season. If he has not made an impression on the playoff places come Christmas next season then his time will be up.

What a complete cop out.

As a proffesiinal athlete , mental strength and self belief is everything. If you aint got it, you wont make it.

Lol this isnt pressure.
Robins and his coaching team need to look at themselves and what they’re doing wrong rather than looking for excuses.

Agree mid table was reasonable expectation, but looking at how poor the league is, no stand out teams, it’s become s obvious we aren’t that far off, barring issues up front which were obvious from the start of season 3 goals in first 5 games or something like that.

It seems like he hasn’t resolved this during this transfer window, or improved the young group we have.

Also with still 15 games to go, we should still be looking up the table but I’m afraid we are looking nervously below (current run is relegation form).

We have some massive games coming up and the excuses game after game will put increasing pressure on MR.
The odd win won’t help him.

No you’re right we should be grateful for going toe to toe with Accrington Stanley and nicking a point. Garbage clubs to have been promoted to the Champs since 2012:

Yeovil
Burton
MK Dons
Rotherham

And just look at some of the shite to have made it to the PL since we left it:

Watford
Burnley
Bournemouth
Huddersfield
Hull
Cardiff
Blackpool
Swansea
Palace
Stoke

I could go on. It really, really isn’t hard to go up from League 1 if your manager has half a brain and even an average budget. This club should be in the Championship as a bare minimum and the upper ceiling for most is 7th in the Prem. Take a small club mentality and we always will be one.
You base these clubs you mention on being shit or small time on the league tables 30 years a go. What makes you think we are a bigger club deserving of the championship or premiership over the likes of Stoke,Cardiff, palace, Bournemouth etc. They are there on merit and get bigger crowds than us not on being a big time Charly 30 years ago

Personally I’d say our campaigns in the PL and some in the Championship were more successful than promotion from the 4th tier and winning the paint pot cup
Avoiding seasons of relegation is more successful than two trips to Wembley and promotion really

If I had to choose between promotion from league 2 via the play offs or PL survival, I think I could live without going to Wembley.

I can’t imagine there was a lot of envy from those clubs escaping relegation from the PL last season.

Did I say we were bigger? Most have very generous owners ie those willing to chuck millions without expecting a return. Others show my point-it isn’t difficult to get up the leagues. Look at Bournemouth barely getting 10k, Burnley not much better. It’s a joke.

If Robins hasn’t earned some slack from the last two seasons, what manager would?

We’re a mid table L1 side, he picked us up as a relegated L1 side, we’ve progressed year on year and don’t look terrible. He deserves this season and the start of next at least.

We aren’t going to go down.

No just someone being realistic and not thinking we have a god given right to promotion because we were once in the top division.

This club needs stability and Robins needs the time to build
Go away with your rational thinking, please!

A mistake of the position. It’s based on looking at the crap on the other side every week-do I expect promotion no. Is Robins underachieving undoubtedly so.

If the current form isn’t turned around we will end up in a relegation fight, we don’t have the firepower up front to score goals - considering how much we’ve spent on strikers it’s not good enough.

Another who is content with mid table in this God awful league

not sure anyone is content, more realistic that we were never going to do 2 promotions on the bounce and thankfully we aren't still in League Two. i'm done with the manager merry go round every season of years gone by. At some point, we need to back a manager and stick with him.

For me, MR deserves the right to be backed and stuck with.

He has been backed and seems to have wasted the funds that have been available

Why do people keep assuming his critics want back to back promotions? Look at what we’re doing on the pitch, look what’s served up against us most weeks and you come to the conclusion it isn’t good enough.

"seems". You didn't say "has".

Maybe that's because he's bought 21, 23 and 24 year old lower league strikers and they aren't in their prime yet. Maybe because they haven't hit the form that MR believes they have in them ?

Surely they need time to come good ?

Wasting the money would be to spend £500k (which I bet he hasn't spent) on someone with no sell on value and no scope to improve.

But a lot of his signings have been poor

I don't, you do.

I come to the conclusion that we are some confidence off being a very good team who can more than capability challenge in this league.

How much time do you give a player to produce? Hiwula for example is getting worse rather that improving?

It’s really strange slagging off players who are 21/22... especially writing them off as shit. It’s like as a professional footballer god forbid you make a mistake.
Or to put it another way: if you started a new job I don’t think after 6 months, at 21 anybody would be writing you off as shit, and saying you are never going to be successful in your field.

Managers who’ve won the premier league are sacked the next season.

its not for me to give him time, its for MR to decide, like he did with Ogogo, JCH etc

So you think wasting wages and signing on fees is fine - great
