So you think packing a team with exclusively kids is a winning strategy? I am not talking about has beens I'm talking about players at their peak.
Unfortunately we don’t have lucrative owners who are prepared to splash the cash to buy these players ahead of everyone else

It's wrong to say Robins falls out with all the senior players
As in most clubs guys who aren't in the team can be unhappy, especially if they were regulars in the past
The manager has to try to find a way to keep everyone happy but unless he's winning every game it's impossible
Especially if he has a relatively big squad

For me Robins gets this season as long as we’re not in serious danger of relegation, which we aren’t currently. He’s trying to build something and should be given the chance to continue.

Luton storming this league after promotion last year because they have a consistent policy in place. I bet over the years some of their fans were demanding instant success too.

Burton - Clough built them for years
MK - Robinson built them for years
Rotherham - developed a sustainable approach
Yeovil - went up but then fucked about with managers and now in danger of falling out of the football league.

Hiwula has scores goals in this league before.
Chaplin is developing and should be given the year to settle

He saw we needed leadership at the right age after letting Doyle and Ogogo leave so bought in a 29 year old that recently captained Ireland and played in the Premier League.

Just because you saw us in the premier league as a kid doesn’t give us any right to be there now. Hull, a city of a similar size, had never seen a top flight team until recently. We’ve had the guts ripped out of this club and it’s madness to want to remove the man who actually looks like putting it back together.

None of this is to say I’m happy with our form but we’re not that far away. As everyone is saying we keep missing sitters, they start going in and we win a lot more games, we’re creating great chances to put games away. I’ve seen us play a lot worse than recently and win, we’re nowhere near how poor we were in our relegation seasons. We’ve competed with the top teams so are obviously capable.

Inconsistency and lack of confidence are traits that are more apparent in younger players but if you support them through those mistakes they become better players as the years go by. So many players have been lambasted in their first season or two here only to go on to have good careers.

We have a plan. Let’s stick to it and not do what we’ve done time and time again while we slip down the leagues.

It’s really strange slagging off players who are 21/22... especially writing them off as shit. It’s like as a professional footballer god forbid you make a mistake.
Or to put it another way: if you started a new job I don’t think after 6 months, at 21 anybody would be writing you off as shit, and saying you are never going to be successful in your field.
I don’t think you can make the argument that we get on them unfairly for the odd mistakes; it happens over and over again and much more frequently than mistakes benefit us. And nobody said that these players will never make it, what people do say is that a lot of these players are shit right now and show no particular signs of improvement.

Grendel you going to answer my question then or avoid it. You have made a strong statement that Robins has fell out with the players so please provide the evidence of where this has come from

After all the hysteria this week - this is a welcome and well written message. Top man.

Anyone that says Robin's Out or 'this is the worst I've ever seen' like that whingy prick Ian that rings up the radio, needs to be castrated or fuck off.

Ian's the epitome of our fan base, if you gave him a million pounds he would complain it's not two million. Fuck off Ian.

Yes we should be scoring more but us drawing 1-1 to Gillingham and Wimbledon, is nothing embarrassing compared to Sixfields or the nonsense of the 16/17 season, whereby apart from the Checkatrade win, I was thoroughly embarrassed every weekend and lost the will to go.

We are making mistakes at the moment and missing chances and our subs can be poor but Robin's is the best manager we've had since Eric Black and has proved that he can work/be successful with our difficult owners. There might be one or two better managers out there but then it's a massive gamble whether they can work with our owners and handle all the problems off the pitch.

Every manager has weaknesses, we need some perspective. We're playing well but not finishing.

How is it a strong accusation? It’s hardly a ground breaking revelation is it.

One poster on here acknowledges he’s fell out with Brown (which is pretty obvious) and ogogo. One other poster and one former player claims he’s fell out with Doyle and their versions are identical. That’s 3.

Another was never seen in the squad abd now starts games for another club.

He’s openly and publicly criticised at least 3 other players - one on a regular basis who he clearly does not want to play. He’s also made negative statements on 3 other players who’ve not signed contracts.

Another poster said he’d fell out with one player after a pre season friendly (which is also heard and said at the time) which stacked up as he was absent at the start of the season

He will soon be referring to himself in the third tense - it’s only a matter of time and then the full Micky Adams act will be there for all to see.

Easy to say but all the players are on social media these days and even without seeking it out they have people tagging them on messages saying how shit they are. Then you have a decent chunk of the crowd just waiting for a mistake so they can hurl abuse and boo.

It's not as simple as Robins just telling them they're great.

Absolutely. You only have to see some of the posts if the official account says something pretty innocuous, the thread soon gets taken over with moronic comments.

Interesting that Accrington were held up as the pantheon of consistency last season and people wanted us to be as organised in our roles and responsibilities as them. They haven’t even scored a goal in the league since Boxing Day.

You really are a moron. Never anything constructive or positive.
No Grendel has a point, I think if you track the MR managerial record it’s similar at most if not all of his clubs, starts well for 18months/2 years then all of a sudden the wheels come off. We have a lot of senior players not getting games on a regular basis for a struggling team.

Deluded. Loads of people have written them off. If you want to deny it go ahead. But they have.

Again they are young they will make mistakes. Lower league players tend to develop slowly, probably won't see the benefits until next season/end of the season.

Yes, lower league players make mistakes.

They don't however, miss multiple sitters a game, every single effing week on this kind of scale.

They should have put an offer in for some of our strikers.

Granted their Robin's signings, but in another world they all went in and were sitting there nicely with Luton and Pompey.

I'm as frustrated as everyone, but half the side got relegated 2 years back and the other half stumbled Into the league 2 play offs. Again, I'm aware that was down to Robins. Hes going to have limitations but that's why hes at this level. This year was always one where staying up was the goal.
