It would have got bumped if we had lost today and it would have been within about 12 seconds of the final whistle to boot, so may as well bump it when we win.
And those who bump it with the MR out shit won’t be seen now until the next blip

He called me a twat first.

He’s referring to the fact that you bothered to resurrect the thread to try and point score after one scrambled victory

Wasn't trying to point score.

Was just trying to point out the stupidity of the thread, which gets resurrected with defeat and forgotten about with a win.

It wasn't a point scoring exercise.

On another note, I wonder if today's result proves that the players have once again temporarily forgotten about the club's "where are we going to play next season?" issue....forgetful twats!

I think I’m going to go left field and judge the manager and his playing staff at the end of their operational year, also known as a season. Just over half way the league position and general performance are both fine.

They also must have forgotten they were ill too.

Far too radical thinking that.

You clearly have far too much common sense to be spending much time on this forum.

Exactly right. Let's say for a moment we finish the season in 11th; if you had offered that to me back in the close season, I'd have taken it happily. A season of demonstable, if patchy, consolidation. The last time we were in this league we were repeatedly outplayed and totally humiliated - we're back just over 12 months later and are clearly competitive. That's good enough for me.

Yes we wanted to target top 6 but many clubs in the league would have set themselves this target too; doesn't mean we've failed.

Yes, MR spent money on misfiring strikers but the reality is that some signings fail; he's had enough successful signings to retain my confidence.

Yes, some of our best players are loanees but I feel happier that we've only got 3 regular loannees in the team rather than under TM when it was 5 and clearly too many, with predictable medium-term consequences when the team fell away once the likes of Armstrong and Murphy returned to their parent sides.

Sadly some of our fans are always keen for us to pull the trigger on a struggling manager so no doubt MR will come in for it on here again next time we lose.

Indeed he will. Like you say, in pretty much every game we have been competitive. Sure we have played badly and lost, but we haven't really been totally dominated.

Last time we were here we constantly looked second best.

Excellent we're upto 4 wins in 20 now, all hail king Robins. I'm not convinced he's the man to take us forward even with all that sky blue blood running through his veins, but he'll get at least to the summer so I'll continue to back him at games.

Just got back and in fairness it was better today, but we still missed opportunities and could've been made to pay for that same failing again on another day. Thankfully today it didn't matter.

Certainly not the king, but I think all the talk of a potential relegation battle was rather misplaced.

Next season we need to kick on, but I feel Robins has justified staying at the helm for now.

If we can finish top 12 that will be a good season.

Next season we need to press for top 6.

Actually, in many games that season we weren't even second best. As someone said of England in the 1989 Ashes series "they came third in a two-horse race."

I’m laid back - great goalkeeping performance today wasn’t it?
Tbh I can't comment as I didn't go, from what I've heard he did well with the save and distribution but considering the money hes on he should be head and shoulders above everyone in this league.
Not going to get too excited and start wanking over a player that is unlikely to play more then 2 games for us, you can if you want.

Just glad we won. :)

This time last year me and lad started singing.

There’s only 1 mark robins
One Mark robins
He picks the wrong team
He plays for a draw
We’re never going up with him in charge

How wrong we were

And scrambled win!!!! Ffs

Yup. An unlucky defeat in a game we clearly should have won is deemed as we are a poor side and we need to look over our shoulders and Robins should go, but an unexpected win away from home at a ground that has been notoriously bad for us is deemed a scrambled win.

There was an interesting interview with the Norwich manager who mentioned that last season they were top of the stats for passing and chances created but couldn’t convert so ended up 14th.

With a few tweaks they are now at the top end of the Championship. Perhaps some hope for us and parallels to be drawn?

Indeed.

If we had a goalscorer who was taking the sitters we have been creating we would be such a better side and would be sitting higher in the table.

Shame we signed 4 people who couldn’t hit my arse with a banjo then
