A sexual abuse charity received "hundreds of abusive calls" after ex-English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson criticised it on Facebook.

The Facebook post, referring to a Rape Crisis poster promoting a helpline for ethnic minority victims, said: "I guess it's ok to rape white women then?"

The charity said its switchboard, based in High Wycombe, was inundated with "harassing" phone calls.

The BBC has contacted Tommy Robinson for comment.

Their were more than 2 and one of his closest associates was a sex case and he defended him until he started getting criticsed by his far right supporters and he distanced himself from him, (think his surname was Price).
I hate sex offenders regardless of their colour or back ground.

The EDL has had an estimated maximum membership of 35k since inception, now much lower. If it was 2 done for grooming that's 0.005% of its membership (and remember that is at the very extreme estimates of its membership - chances are its much lower.

Does it take into account racial profiling? If you're of a particular group that gets checked a lot more than others then those people are going to make up a disproportionate amount of offenders. This is then perpetuated as these groups being more likely to commit a crime, so get checked more and so on.

There's also a lot more chance of certain groups being sent to prison rather than being given a warning/fine etc.
