We use a legal system in the UK. It isn't perfect. But it is much better than someone thinking they have the right to solve problems themself. If he flirts with what is illegal he deserves everything he gets as long as any sentence isn't over harsh.

Use your fucking loaf. The law firm gave them the letter under the guise they'd have his address, and I hope they are struck off for it.

I've dealt with law firms a lot as part of my job and it's absolutely standard everything is sent recorded first class or courier.
