Whiff of Desperation, something happening? (7 Viewers)

Best solution is for us to get expelled from the league, Wasps to buy us and for us to then start 8 leagues below.
I have a feeling that the second part of that statement is what the council and wasps want.

The Editor of the Telegraph doesn't seem desperate at all, not even a bit.

Pulling out all the stops.

I wouldn't say team, more an ever increasing number of fans who can see through the agenda of others. The only 'agenda' should be getting us a deal to play at the Ricoh next season.
The problem is
If they did take away the golden share, which they won't, do these people realise what that would actually entail? Taking the golden share and handing it over to Hoffman doesn't bring anything else across. The manager, players, staff, academy and Ryton would still be under Otium.
Bizarrely, in this conflict, we may need SISU to win in the short term, so as to get them out in the long term

How can the FA take charge of them? Otium is a business that employs people. The golden share being taken away doesn't change that. Otium the business still exists and it still has employees. They can choose to make people redundant but they don't have to. Any assets owned by Otium will remain owned by Otium.
Not players if a club ceased to exist their contract go to the FA,

How did it happen when Rangers went tits up? Can’t even remember whether it was a comparable situation to be fair.

Nah, Rangers went completely bust.

If the EFL took the share off CCFC then it means SISU still own a football club but they just dont have a place in the football league.

The company that owned Rangers, the equivalent of Otium, was liquidated. A new club was then formed under the ownership of a new company.

Theoretically SISU could just hold onto "Coventry City" even if the golden share is taken. I am sure the loving, caring people they are means they wouldn't though and would be happy to hand it over!

Indeed.
Either that or they live in a fantasy land

or both even...

The club can still exist but players will move on unless they want to play in league zero in the Memorial Park

That’s right I think the new Rangers doesn’t carry “Glasgow” like the old one, might be wrong though

Indeed but that doesn't solve the problem. If they all move on elsewhere the 'new' club that now has the golden share still doesn't have any players, coaches or a manger.

Good to see the Editor of the local paper clued up before speaking

He told those listening that Sisu had actually put around £60m into the club, and the club was mismanaged before the London hedge fund even got involved.

There’s never been Glasgow Rangers or Celtic. All they did was transfer out all the assets to a new entity before the original Rangers went bust.

I don’t think there’s a precedent for what’s going on here.

It would also bring more legals from our masters

Has the CET even got an editor. I assumed they just put the articles through a clickbait estimator and if it got a certain score it was published.

Plea for Wasps to buy the club

It is a bit obvious what they are trying to push. ;)

Not sure we can expect Wasps to help out the city of Coventry twice. But rich really. First to take on the ailing and decrepit, empty Ricoh arena and helping put our city on the map, and therefore in turn finally bringing rugby to Coventry and now secondly, to show great benevolence and kindness in buying the Sky Blues.

We should already be grateful and thankful enough to them. They have done so much.

Petition launched
A petition has been set up asking the English Football League to force Coventry City owners Sisu to sell the club.

It reads: “SHORT AND SWEET... Our great club, with so much history faces extinction. Sign here if you believe the football league should step in and force a sale, rather than expelling us from the league.”

Getting there....

How can the owners be Forced to sell the club ?

My thoughts exactly. What's the EFL going to do about it? If the EFL approached SISU at their offices with nothing but a petition they'd just laugh in their face.

Then try and sue them for trespassing.
