WTF are you on about?

SISU are a private entity potentially selling assets to another private entity. They will know the value of those assets and appear to want significantly more than the current value. They appear to have no desire to sell and hence haven't put the club up for sale.

The council are answerable to the taxpayer. They had an asset they wished to sell yet rather than market it properly ensuring maximum return for the taxpayer they sold it in secret while repeatedly making false public statements about the performance of the business.

How have you managed to equate those two situations?

They’ve answered to the taxpayer haven’t they? One JR and another firmly rebuffed. There’s no argument to say legally they’ve done anything wrong by the taxpayer.

The point is and you’ve demonstrated it perfectly that you’re willing to accept that SISU don’t answer to anyone and you’ OK with that. I happen to think a bit more about CCFC than that.

Why would sisu accept their bid now?
If we don't go up the value of the club won't decrease but if by some slim chance we get promoted it will be worth significantly more.

Of course that's the aim now. Get everybody worked up. The same as the telegraph have been trying.

What else is the "pressure" you think going public does?

The aim is to try and acquire a football club which is in turmoil off field and it’s owners appear to Be backed into a corner by every party who it should have on its side .

The purpose of going public is to let people know that despite money being offered the owners are still unwilling to even discuss the possibility of selling up , which is absolutely fucking bizarre to say the least considering the circumstances and the damage Done to their name and reputation already

There’s more reputations than SISU’s in the toilet

it’s like Groundhog Day.

Sisu have more good will to leave the Ricoh this time, and no doubt more fans will follow than Northampton, but you can still see a “protest” on the last home game of the season, especially if we nothing to play for. Get the plastic pigs or the whistles at the ready !!

In terms of business lol. Hostile takeovers from apparent fans

Sisu took us over when we were on our knees , we are currently bending at the moment but pretty soon under these clowns will Be on our knees yet again .

They need to look at recouping some of their supposed investment and fucking off, for the good of CCFC

It is backed into a corner on purpose, thinking that sisu are suddenly going to Panic and sell to Hoffman is just as naive as thinking Evans was serious.

They would have seen it coming, there will be multiple plans in place. The worry should be what those are.

You really think that's the only reason he goes straight to the press every time? Naive at best.

Can you not see it was lined up with the telegraph rehashing ground share stuff we already knew, then Hoffman pops up and can prevent that with his deal agreed.

I agree , but the future of the other parties involved seems tied up , for sisu to continue operating they need new business all the time

who in their right minds would go there

they ain’t selling anyway so literally is no point talking about it , could offer 20 mill upfront and prove it and they would say no .

They have a more sinister plan for ccfc , we will find out eventually

Hilarious really. Even more so Dart liked it. It’s lazy fans like you and Dart that have helped create the mess in the first place

However you want to answer the question?
In terms of the budget for player acquisition and wages - the key measure for fans - Hoffman is unlikely to be much different from the current day to day set up under SISU. They do not seem to have the muscle to be sugar daddies, so it would be as you were.

You think what Hoffman does is a normal takeover behaviour?

It worries me how easily people fall for things. Its a stunt at the minute, the same as last time.

For there to be normal takeover behaviour (whatever that’s supposed to mean) you would expect normal ownership behaviour to lead that.

Oh no not this again!
Look to get SISU to budge you will need upwards of 15m more likely nearer 20m and they will then take notice.
Is that fair? No but it's a realistic approach. If that includes future player sales money or % of old players resell, so be it.
get WASP to agree a long term deal with the consortium in principal and have them totally refuse a deal with SISU and you have them struggling to turn down such an offer.

Lets not go over all the figures again....that's the reality of what will make SISU play ball.

Genuine question. How’s many how many people do you think fall for it ?. 100, 1000, 10000 ?

Since when is putting a bid in a “hostile takeover”.

People seeing what they want to here. It’s the obvious time to put a bid in as the situation is changing.

Glad it was rejected. Hoffman’s a joker. Why would Sisu sell now? They clearly don’t want to and have a plan in place. Just another example of why Hoffman should be nowhere near the club.

SISU say he’s not revealing who’s in the consortium. If that’s true, how the eff can you show proof of funds ?

One of them sponsors the academy so I ain’t buying SISU’s line for a minute M8.

Then again, as they show little interest in the club maybe they don’t know err..

...M8 ;)

A newspaper that no one reads announces a bid for a club that very few people (compared to the geographical audience) watch. Of those people, some believe the story, whilst most have seen and heard it all before, knowing that the owners are in this for a gold bar, not a lion bar

This is the thing, SISU have no reputation anyway, ask anyone who works in any other London company/hedge fund. They're nothing in the hedge fund world. They're just playing dress up

Nick was asked what sort of a club owner he would like and said ,one with a shit load of money .
Dont think thats gonna happen . i'd like somebody who wants to see the club do well,a supporter. Somebody you could get behind .
Hope Gary Hoffman and co do one day succeed with there bid
I actually think, after a decade of cock ups, Fisher has worked out how to run the finances of a lower league team, what the numbers are, what you need to spend, and how. However it does depend on having a good manager and thus far Robins is the only good one he has ever found out of 9 appointments. If I were him I would see promotion as a double edged sword as the numbers, and thus the business risk are so much greater. The problem with Hoffman is that, while financially being little different from SISU in terms of the crucial relationship with Wasps, he will be starting from scratch with regards the day to day business knowledge of a third tier football team. We don't just want SISU out, that is only half the equation, we need it replaced by a financial set up that can fund prosperity in the Championship (forget the Prem - waste of time and money).

The offer is more than reasonable , even OSB has stated so based off the assets .

There’s no market here , just bored middle aged men looking to have a go at the only show in town willing to put a bid in

What does that value WASPS at then?
Accounts due end of month - they need some good news?

It isn’t. Planning applications are public record. It ain’t worth what you have mistakenly assumed it is. If they got outline planning that would be different. And public knowledge.

Well Mr Hoffman thought otherwise
The third bid involved just over £2million cash up front and allowing Sisu to keep the club’s Ryton training ground to sell for housing.

It is also possible to have off the record meetings with the planners about a proposed development.

I can’t say I know the details of the current bid but I’m not sure either way that it proves that Ryton is worth more than £7M or that Hoffman ever thought it was whether the current offer is based on Ryton being part of the bid or not.

It is possible to have meetings with local authorities about proposed developments, in fact I would say that is the norm. Still not the same as having outline planning consent though and that would be where the value is. Did it even get added into the town plan in the end? Don’t think it did.
