Sky Blue Trust - Timings of the Visit on Thursday 21st March to Sisu and EFL Headquarters

On Thursday March 21st a delegation from "The Sky Blue Trust " and other concerned Coventry City fans will be visiting the four key stakeholders in the ongoing and highly damaging stadium dispute which threatens to leave the Sky Blues homeless to deliver a small selection of messages compiled from Sky Blues supporters and the wider football community to convey just what Coventry City means to them

To give some idea as to expected timings we aim to be at the following locations at the times stated. However the London locations in particular are subject to delay depending on traffic.

Council House,Earl Street 8.30am

Ricoh Arena 9.15am

SISU HQ, 96 Kensington High Street 11.30am

EFL HQ Blandford Street 12.30pm

We look forward to seeing those of you who are able to join us. If you are coming, let's see plenty of Sky Blue, to let everyone know who we are and what this football club means to us.

This post pretty much sums up the problem with the protest. Its supposed to be against all sides but they've turned up at the council house in SISU Out t-shirts, wearing SISU Out banners for a cosy chat with Duggins who seems very happy they are heading to London to protest SISU.

There needs to be a more targeted message to the council and Wasps stating exactly what is expected of them. Open letters to all sides have been suggested over and over again but it just gets ignored.

I’ve give up over all this. The Trust are so far up the Council’s and Wasps arse its not worth continuing.

Duggins says council can’t do anything about a deal (might have something to do with relinquishing control to a private company) and Wasps don’t want us in Coventry, unless they can control us.

We’re fucked considering the clubs own supporters trust are hellbent on keeping us second fiddle to a London franchise rugby team

I hope they ask how the consortium would fund the club when it’s giving away possible future income. Or what terms they have agreed to with wasps to stay at the Ricoh?

They obviously but Elliott up as the mouthpiece as people will go easy on him when really questions should be asked about who is involved, how it will be financed and what talks have already taken place with the council and / or Wasps.

Can only speak for myself but I'm at work and have to give a minimum of a months notice for leave so can't take days off at short notice to go on protests.

Also have to factor in that many have lost confidence in the Trusts ability to target all sides and would have been concerned this would descent in to a SISU out protest.

It is clear that protesting doesn't change anything with SISU. People tried to claim it was as a result of the protests and the stay aways that we got back to the Ricoh from Northampton when in fact it was because they struck a rent deal. I understand why people feel the need to protest for personal reasons, but its inevitably useless for change.

So the trust organise a series of protests at all parties involved and people don’t want to join them at said series of protests as they have lost faith that trust doesn’t have the ability to target all sides, like they just have.

Is there any scenario where the Trust can win?

Interesting that Moz was able to approach Duggins publicly and handover statements and letters from fans. I wonder if Joy will meet fans for the same treatment, or Wasps and the EFL for that matter.

You may think that but in my opinion it was because they got wind of the sale to Wasps combined with the realisation that they were losing money hand over fist by staying away.

Yes, they can take themselves out of the situation of the games and represent fans properly. They are clearly involved with Hoffman and everything else that's going on so take a step back.

They can then look at suggestions from people like Liquid Gold, "pressuring" people isn't always standing there for a photo opportunity.

Yeah, it will have people saying "Good Luck" and "Thankyou for doing this for the fans" but realistically they can't really see how it's a PR stunt that co-incides with Hoffman yesterday.

Of course they don't want to lose the "power" they have. People don't want them to lose that "power" either, strangely.

Yes there is, by working to regain the trust of the fanbase. A very easy option was the open letter to each side. Suggested over and over again but ignored along with every other suggestion of action against Wasps and / or the council.

Almost as if it was a pre-arranged publicity stunt so that the Trust / Council could say exactly that.
