Credit to Oxford for not sitting back on the 1-0 lead. They continued to press us really high and that made it difficult for us to get to their box. That made sure they were under no real pressure from us.

Can't comment on the game as I was on the way back from a very drunken escapade to Dublin. A few things seem to be unsurprising though:

- We have a couple of good chances to score which we fluff.
- We concede from a set piece again (anyone got stats on that?).
- People feel Burge could have done better for the goal.

It also seems that the people screaming about my recent critism of Bayliss are pretty quiet today. I guess it might be time for the lad to have a rest.

Too many off days today I’m afraid coupled with the customary Burge faux pas.

Everyone still going to Barnsley then? If anything their style of play will suit us, we often struggle against teams sitting behind the ball.

Guess the result will take a good 800-1,000 off the following now....

Easily behind the line but the ball was outside the quadrant before he took it. Should have been disallowed.
Yeah a millimetre outside of the quadrant! Did it really matter? The fact of it really is that again there was no communication from Burge to Hyam before the corner when he should have been yelling at Hyam to hoof it away.

Yes your football expertise knows no bounds. Raheem Sterling could well be Player of the season

Yep-shame that. Lots of people holding off and seeing what today’s result was.

Bayliss Is no centre mid last season he played right in a diamond he gets over run and out muscled
Couldn’t agree more. Said all season, he is not afforded the time and space in the middle that he enjoyed last year and he isn’t good enough defensively to play in the middle.

I'm not so sure it's about Bayliss as much as Bayliss and Bright together when teams play like Oxford did second half.

Thought Robins got it wrong in the second 45 today.

Bitterly disappointing but didn’t really do anything going forward. Need bright to play much further forward and disappointing robins didn’t change things last 15 by sticking hyam up or playing it forward more quickly
Stick Hyam up top and get caught out at the back. Don’t talk so wet Pete!

Kelly “Ricoh is a bobbly pitch and sometimes it better to play away from home”
Well that's okay then became next season we could be playing all are games away from home.

Seen it a lot this season. Ok 1st half, sussed out second half.
Out ran, out battled and out thought today.
Although still fine margins. Shot off line 1st, hit woodwork too. Good chance 2nd from Thomas....very good save but shot telegraphed.... and we concede a poor goal from a set peice of our own making.
Too many players anonymous today... although forced into that by Oxford. Still think robins needs to try to play Bayliss higher up. Bright given him an excuse to try that at his expense today.
Subs offered nothing (predictably so).
Very disappointing but typically "Cov".

Christ that goal was fucking dreadful. Almost identical to the Luton goal. Teams know our weakness that's for sure.

The lack of conviction for both of luke Thomas changes is very worrying.

Baka should have scored

LT should've used his right foot and simply stroked the ball into goal on two occasions today.

It doesn't have to be powerful if it's in the right place.

I am a big fan of his, his workrate and defensive work is excellent, but he should have more goals.

Which of course is why he is here, with us, in League One.

Before this game I hadn't any interest in Oxford United. After that game I really hope they get relegated.

Anybody moaning about that should look where Kelly placed the ball for the first goal at Notts County last season.

He needs resting I feel can’t see him being burnt out was injured not so long ago but I fee Kelly & Meyler need to be the 2 sitting midfielders, bayliss or bright not both bayliss hasn’t got the discepline to play in there Kelly seems to be doing all the work on his own.

I wish he would try and lift the ball when he shoots, he always seems to go for the bottom corner.

Today was bayliss first bad game

U have been saying he poor whilst we 2nd form team in league over 8 games. Cant do that with a consistently poor player

Second full season is always difficult, Bayliss is still a good prospect but still learning, he’ll come good again I believe, he has oodles of talent.
