I think that there is some doubt that JR2 is indeed stone dead. Jr1 was definitively over when things got to this point but for some reason now the Euro courts are being mentioned. So perhaps without clarification from Sisu it's not clear that this particular set of legals is finished.

Call it "legal fatigue". Many including me, who once followed this closely, are long past bored of the whole repetitive saga and just want to fast forward to the end.

Doesn't really matter anyway. There'll be JR3, some other legal angle to go through, or a civil case to come.
This could carry on for years.

There's a post in this thread by Offenham sky blue where he explains why he thinks it can't now go to the ECJ. I don't know if he's right but it seems to make some sense.
Significant news today, two lots in fact. Was reported in the Times that playing at St.Andrews had been vetoed by the EFL as being too far significant as i would think it ruled out Walsall, Leicester, Northampton, also, then this no appeal decision from the Supreme Court which imo puts the ball firmly in our owners court. To me negotiating with Wasps to use the Ricoh is the only way forward, staying on the legal route I believe would erode any sympathy there may be from EFL members who have that EGM in nine days time.

Nowhere is ruled out. It’s purely to tick a box with the EFL to show that the club could do everything it could to find a home in the city but the club has been forced out.
So either wasps concede - which now they may well do - or we go to St Andrews

My feelings exactly. It's not a pain free option to take CCFC out of Cov, it would cost Sisu a fortune as well as hitting Wasps on the pocket, so the best bet now is to suck up the decision, play nice, wait for Wasps to go under and then pick up the Ricoh on the cheap as part of the insolvency process. Would be better from a PR point of view and save SISU a lot of legal fee money into the bargain. Meanwhile the extra £££ Wasps earn from up will not come close to closing the funding gap and covering their massive losses.

That might be wishful thinking on your behalf but according the Times St.Andrews has been rebuffed by the EFL as being too far away.

Nope it’s bollocks and as always you’ll be found wanting in this debate. The EFL is financially bankrupt and even the thought of legal action will terrify them.
The EFL will let the club go anywhere and the members will always stick together as it should be
Are they ? This vote malarkey applies to its members 72 of them including us. The board will update the facts and the rule we have breached its members will vote on that. Where and why would any legal action affect the EFL. They are a competition with a rule book and within the F.A. If anyone feels any action the EFL take is not covered in its rules then the next step is the F.A doesn’t matter if it’s the EFL or the Coventry Minor League.

Was that in a later article or something? The short piece in this morning's paper only says "The Times has learnt that the 4,000-capacity Butts Park Arena in the city has emerged as a second ground-share option for Coventry along with Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s".
I most definiely do NOT want us to play in Birmingham, but as far as I can see it hasn't been ruled out.

I'm not pleased the council and the insects see this as a victory, but hopefully it will enable SISU to gracefully back down and take a "commercially viable" rental deal while they go through the motions of pretending to build a new stadium.
Keeps us in town, keeps the EFL happy, and maybe by some miracle we get promoted on a shoe string and put up a decent effort in the Championship. I think the only way these gits will sell up is if we do climb to the top of a cycle...perhaps the only truthful thing Fisher has ever said. We won't do that in a shead miles outside of Cov.
Well we imo are at a critical point,?to the outside world legals are over, kicked out by the highest court in the land, Wasps say they are open to negotiate re using the Ricoh. I think if Sepalla continues this legal route and somehow engineers a groundshare that’s us finished. What I would love to see now is our CCC say to our owner, here’s a parcel of land build your ground Joy, she’ll run for the hills.

The EFL have effectively passed the decisions on if CCFC can play and where to their members.
