Camwell gone (1 Viewer)

He didn't rave about the Arsenal performance, he said he had good technique and was good in possession, but needed to work on a lot of things. He also has Sam McCallum coming through who is a much bigger talent.

Also read the article properly: Transfer news: Move breaks down for Coventry City defender

The telegraph claimed he is contracted until 2021 not Robins.

I'm sorry but saying a player has unbelievable technique is raving about them. Easily MOTM in the first half v Arsenal. Ryan Haynes couldn't defend but racked up 97 appearances. Look at the likes of Shipley and Bayliss. Barely a word said about them before their debuts and were only picked for the first team because of injuries. As the age old saying goes give youth a chance.

Kevin Thornton had unbelievable technique. So do literally hundreds of academy kids who get released every year.

You are selectively picking comments, and making up others, to make your point. In the same article or maybe one before he talks about how he is never going to develop as a left back and so if he was going to make it it would be in another position. He was defensively weak.
From reports he was unprofessional.

Bayliss was hyped up massively, for anyone who knew about academy prospects they would know he was touted as the next big thing to come from the academy.

Not only that but Robins has given youth a chance if they have deserved it:
Shipley, Bayliss, Thomson , McCallum
Plus he signs mainly young talent.

The signs point to Camwell not taking the opportunity not some great injustice.

Fair enough give youth a chance, problem being is if you look at it right now Camwell is 4th choice LB, he’s not as good as Brown, Mason or McCallum.

You can rave about potential from one U23’s game, but it’s how you conduct yourself off the pitch and in training, it’s how you push on show the manager you’re worth a chance as opposed to feeling entitled. Camwell hasn’t done enough.

Maybe Haynes was off and then things changed? Every time I read something about this lad on here it kind of feels him and his supporters feel like he was "owed soemthing". Apologies if I'm misreading it but that's just the way it comes across. Blaming others for him not being able to break into the first team seems a bit short sighted to me. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Yeah. If he was good enough to do so he would have got past Ryan Haynes. The fact that he wasn't able to do so tells you a lot about him, either in terms of his game or his attitude.

Would be more surprised if Robins said a young teenage player was absolute dogshite...

Good luck to the lad
Hope it works out for him
Which of us hasn't made mistakes when we were young?
Hopefully he'll start again and move back up through the divisions as many others have in recent years

Tbf he signed Mason who is basically youth so he just doesn't rate Camwell that highly. Let's be honest, Camwell getting done for drink driving hasn't helped himself at all
