Local Days Out / Any good ideas? (6 Viewers)

Have the next few days off work and as it's the holidays looking to go out but can't find anything really to do.

Have done the motor museum, herbert, think tank in brum in terms of museums. Weather isn't going to be the best so it rules out country parks.

Any ideas of things on or places that aren't quite so known or something out of the ordinary that are decent for a day out and a 9 year old would enjoy?

Think it’s £5 a round -honesty box there if it is not manned. Usually discs to borrow but might be worth calling up to check

What kind of things does she like? How far are you prepared to travel?

Books, museums, gaming and things like that. She loves going to the book farm and going through all the books etc.

Will probably go an hour or so :)
Anything on at Market Hall in Warwick? Chilvers Coton doing anything over half term?

Rugby Hall of Fame? ;)

Black Country Museum's great, if possibly a bit far for you.

Stratford Butterfly farm or as you missed out the St George’s day thread -:emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:head along to Stratford over the weekend for Shakespeares birthday celebrations. Lots of marching bands/parades/displays etc and all free.

When I was 9, I used to enjoy going to the Wyken Slough and flying balsa wood gliders.
We also used to go to Nauls Mill Park and sail our model boat.
Can't think of anything indoors other than things you've already done.

Went to the space centre, decent video in the planetarium and a walk about. Managed to pass 3 hours in there!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Think we might do black country museum or vortex at resorts world tomorrow

Cheers, have been there a few times so she's not that fussed about them like when she was younger :(
