Bright, Baka, Chaplin, Hiwula, Jodi, Wakefield, Max and maybe a new ST/Winger on loan?

With that depth and a full pre season under them, exciting times I’d say...

I would like to see Bremang given a run out in early Checkatrade and League Cup games

I’m not as optimistic on Jones as many seem to be; he looked poor in League One in our relegation year and this was obviously before his massive injury
I deffo think adding 2 new players to that would make our forward line exciting, just got to replace Thomas with someone else if Jodi doesn’t work

Try and keep Thomas and add another striker got Biamou too to come back. Although missed chances has probably cost us I’d put tightening our defence priority.

James Norwood on a free, if Tranmere don't get up.

Deffo keep baka, get rid of pont ain’t good enough

A season long loan to a league two team would be the best option for Ponti, if he doesn't score many then offload him next summer.

the Money needs to be spent on defence. At the moment we need 2 keepers, 2 right backs (sterling and grimmer both be gone), 2 centre backs (replace Willis and Davies) and maybe 1 left back to replace brown. We also need to replace Thomas if we can’t get him back. Whatever’s left after that buy a striker but I don’t see us splashing out on forwards like we did last summer

Right back yes.
CB, we already have Rose coming in. Drysdale, Williams and Thompson coming through so wouldn't say it's a priority unless we can get someone of real quality.
LB. No because McCallum is already ahead of Brown and we have been fine all season

Robins has said that he wants to up the average age of the squad so I don't know how much any of the players you've named will figure in the match day squads,(I'm assuming Rose is considered a development player).
McCallum certainly doesn't look ready to me so would expect to see a LB coming in.

Agreed. I think he could make the step up.
We’ve got a lot of players with potential in that position who we are hoping will be able to make the step up (Max, Chaplin) plus Baka who is getting better. If we are going into the transfer market for a 28 year old forward surely we need to make sure they are proven at League One level as a minimum and preferably Championship experience if we are ambitious.

McCallum has been fine this season. He would be second choice. And bringing another LB would only stunt his development as you expect any signing to be better than Mason.

As has been said Rose is 24. Drysdale was also expected to be part of the first team fairly quickly.

but Robins has said he wants to up the age of the team and bring in experience so I can't see how he can do that and bring these lads through.

How likely is it that Bright will be with us next season? Given his form, I'd have said pretty unlikely unless there is something I have missed?

Yes Doncaster are +16 and we are +2 but if anybody can remember I was there not giving my age away we beat
Shrewsbury 8-0 in 62 or 63 Tuesday night so keep the faith,, nothing is impossible, I will always believe Cov can get promotion this year, untill the final game.

He's said it is something he will look at. Not that he needs to do it. It also depends on budget. It also means that we have wasted time and money on youngsters if we then block their route . I would suggest we need experienced heads at the top of the field. Not the back particualry.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with what you're saying but he paid fees for our 3 strikers last close season, can't see him getting rid of any of them.

I actually feel that Hiwula , bright and Bakayoko are coming good back end the season. Granted it’s a tad too late for this season but think they could come good next season

Got biamou to come back too... although I’m sure robins has irons in fires to add strength too

Hiwula, Bright and Bakayoko, and Chaplin won't suddenly become good next season. If they are still with us, and I doubt they all will be, they will continue much the same as this season. They'll be inconsistent, blow hot and cold and miss tons of sitters. Why would they suddenly be different? And I can't believe everyone is writing Ponticelli off when he hasn't even been given a run of games. When did he last start a game? He's lucky if he gets 10 minutes.
